Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Schultz on June 19, 2009, 01:54:16 am Indeed, if it was a crok axis mortar would have died in a single burst of flame.
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Raio on June 19, 2009, 01:57:06 am u talk big but .. :)
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Schultz on June 19, 2009, 01:58:52 am Close but no cigar :P
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Draken on June 19, 2009, 02:09:09 am My my full hp sniper died to one burts from out of control flame ht, schultz can confirm that.
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Raio on June 19, 2009, 03:29:34 am nice job 8)
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Unkn0wn on June 19, 2009, 03:32:38 am Flammenwerfer HTs are terrible.
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Schultz on June 19, 2009, 03:39:31 am My my full hp sniper died to one burts from out of control flame ht, schultz can confirm that. Yeah i think you need to have at least two to expect to do some damage, or to have it work as a diversion unit to draw fire away from the main attack. Title: Re: ? :) Post by: EliteGren on June 19, 2009, 05:12:52 am I much prefer Inf Hts with Flamepios.

When i had a Wehr Company i had a 3 Flammenwerfer callin for 2 reasons, Pesky rangers(yeah you lose some, but they lose so much more) and Brit blobs, Played a game on St. Come du Mont where i routed 2 fully fielded brit players, Commando's, Commando PIAT's ATG's MG's Brens, Sappers, it was epic fun, Flammenwerfers still fire when buttoned, out of both hoses too!
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Latios418 on June 19, 2009, 10:48:49 am Flammenwerfers HTs are extremely similar to their man-packed brethren. You can't expect to charge at an enemy with 2-3 flamer squads and nothing else and expect something to happen. Both are very fragile, but pack a huge punch. You need to use other units with them to draw fire.
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: brn4meplz on June 19, 2009, 10:52:30 am Not even to draw fire, just to put their health into the yellow. the Flamer crit tables do the rest
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Mysthalin on June 19, 2009, 10:57:55 am Latıos, ask draken or schultz or whoever played wıth me when I used to do clowncars, how well 3xflamers work unloaded at close range. It really ıs very, very nasty ;).
I stıll love to do a quad flame engıe charge every once ın a whıle. Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Latios418 on June 19, 2009, 11:01:40 am Right, when I said 2-3 flamer squads charging with nothing else I meant literally with nothing else. They tend to get absolutely shredded. Added in a halftrack breaks the 'with nothing else' rule =p
Brn also has a good point. I forgot to mention it in my post, but the reason that it failed so hard against that vet mortar was because it was pretty much full on health. Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Mysthalin on June 19, 2009, 11:04:30 am 3 flamer pıos wıll make short work of anythıng but commandos and rangers ^^.
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: BradAnderson on June 19, 2009, 11:07:14 am The only reason the flammen sucks is cause it over shoots with its flame and flame only works like if it hits a certain unit that aint moving, you see where this is going....
Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Latios418 on June 19, 2009, 11:39:46 am With support, yes. But they easily get ripped apart if not. Pios have such extremely low hp...
Any situation where 3 flamer pios would actually do something, so would a flammenwerfer halftrack, with less casualties because all it's hp is focused in one unit. Unless what you're charging consists of four at guns and a bunch of PIAT sappers. Title: Re: ? :) Post by: Malevolence on June 19, 2009, 12:08:53 pm Gamesguy once lost a vet 2 captain to a single burst from an out of control infantry halftrack. I once lost a vet 3 LT and vet 3 captain in retail from a single burst of a non-out-of-control infantry halftrack.
Kind of lame :p Also, looks like SOMEBODY is in need of a skinpack! *cough shameless plug cough cough* |
