Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Mysthalin on October 14, 2009, 08:27:06 am Why are all but one of the choises unsociable for the better part of the Europeans? :S
Absolutely none of them are sociable for me :(. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: bbsmith on October 14, 2009, 08:28:14 am Sigh I don't know. Those were the times EIRRMod used last time. Why doesn't everyone just post between what would be a good time and ill count them myself.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: lionel23 on October 14, 2009, 08:31:37 am Preferably any day but between 6PM-9PM EST for a starting time (if these meetings do go for 4 hours).
@ Mys - Maybe we're trying to make sure you don't come.. oh oh! :D Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Mysthalin on October 14, 2009, 10:10:37 am Saturday 6-7 PM GMT would be a fairly sociable hour for me.. Fairly sociable for the US guys too. Aussies and Asians are getting slightly snubbed, however(but not much more than if it started at 9 PM GMT).
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: bbsmith on October 15, 2009, 03:48:13 pm Looks like 8pm Friday GMT wins. Ill edit the poll to see if people want to do 8pm GMT it on a different day.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Groundfire on October 15, 2009, 04:50:51 pm So, i think that would be like 4pm Midwest USA (Indiana, Michigan, etc.)
Either that or 3pm cause the stupid time change line is so close to where I live... Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: bbsmith on October 15, 2009, 10:43:24 pm Alright looks like 8 PM Friday GMT it is.

Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: BradAnderson on October 16, 2009, 06:30:37 am Germany is GMT+1. ??? Fail.Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Baine on October 16, 2009, 07:56:16 am It is indeed GMT+1. So it would be 9 pm in germany.

Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: bbsmith on October 16, 2009, 12:28:16 pm Who decided on this time? It seems like a really bad time. 2-3 Hours later would be a much better time.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: BradAnderson on October 16, 2009, 12:39:56 pm Who in all honestly is doing something sociable on a friday night seriously if i had my way the meeting should be on saturday at like 3pm GMT
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: bbsmith on October 16, 2009, 12:40:33 pm Its friday morning for me.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Killer344 on October 16, 2009, 03:39:24 pm It's friday afternoon for me :o.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: bbsmith on October 16, 2009, 04:07:57 pm Thanks for everyone who participated in the discussion, we got alot of good feedback.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: RikiRude on October 16, 2009, 04:24:31 pm Was very cool, I was playing a game when I was in the vent channel, but probably one of the best ways to really work on the doctrines with every ones input.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: bbsmith on October 16, 2009, 04:34:31 pm The problem is its really hard to get discussions organized and for people to show up.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: lionel23 on October 16, 2009, 05:07:50 pm I agree, and it makes everyone feel like their experience and feedback is valued and that things can be brought up that other players or devs may miss! I think it was - as a whole - a very postive meeting (though a pox on you for not voting when asked!). :D
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: puddin on October 16, 2009, 06:16:19 pm i Work monday through sat, and am off sundays. Saturday ngiht i might have a chance, But sundays is the the only day i know for sure i don;t work.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Smokaz on October 16, 2009, 07:10:11 pm Nevertheless the one we had today was really good, a lot of different people pitched in and the discussion seldom went offtopic. It was tidyer than Cam's crotch, and that's a good thing. I also had the impression that the input was of high quality. The chat thing works better when the pressure of opinions isnt as high as it was last time since there was less people present.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: sgMisten on October 17, 2009, 01:34:15 am So any juicy tidbits from the discussion?
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: CrazyWR on October 17, 2009, 03:12:07 am Someone decided it would be a good idea for Calliopes to get their main gun back.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Two on October 17, 2009, 06:40:35 am Who in all honestly is doing something sociable on a friday night seriously if i had my way the meeting should be on saturday at like 3pm GMT Saturday nights own friday nights, atleast where i live :( Luftwaffe doctrine is going to be the best PE doctrine tbh, i cant see SE or TH being as good as it, youd only go for them for the hummel or jagd course maybe youve done stuff i cant think of and they will, who knows. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Draken on October 17, 2009, 11:41:13 am So any juicy tidbits from the discussion? This is only thing which I remebered from that discussion :-X. It just must pass or we still gonna have only 1 calli user in EiR. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Mysthalin on October 17, 2009, 01:09:19 pm Cali doesn't need it's main gun back. What it needs is for the rockets to either do more damage, or for more rockets to be fired by default.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: deadbolt on October 17, 2009, 01:35:15 pm Cali doesn't need it's main gun back. What it needs is for the rockets to either do more damage, or for more rockets to be fired by default. just make a t4 where calli has its main gun back and is a mobile healing station. gg Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Mysthalin on October 17, 2009, 02:05:37 pm Still dies to a panther or IHT with double shreks. Not like riflemen will do much to save hte cali from either.
Useless T4. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: EliteGren on October 17, 2009, 02:19:57 pm I dont see any problems with calli getting its main gun back for a Tier 4(added to NGV), considering it doesnt get any other buffs in the entire doctrine.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Falcon333 on October 17, 2009, 02:52:04 pm There used to be a T4 that gave callies more rockets per salvo, or was it lower cooldown?
It was called double rocket racks or something. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: EliteGren on October 17, 2009, 03:23:35 pm Yes, but its gone with the rework.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Falcon333 on October 17, 2009, 03:51:18 pm How about A t4 gives the calliope 2 seperate barrage abilities (both the same).
So you get 2x more rockets, but you get to spread them over 2 barrages. the cooldown stays unchanged. (the cooldown of the 2 is seperate) Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: puddin on October 17, 2009, 04:58:56 pm calis having doubel the rockets made a HUGE difference.
It could fire from max range and INFURE units and a wide spread made it great for just light dmg, but enoguh to build up after a while. With Vet 2 it got +10 range, which made the wider spreead even more effective, ITs not a blanket arty except up close which leaves it massivly exposed, BUt at a distence it does its best, or close against a building it can be used toio kill off an MG. Makign it firs double the rockets was great. Maybe keep the cooldown the same, Make it fire doubel the rockets with NExt gen. TIs still a paper weight for 4 mins.... Not that effective.... Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Mysthalin on October 17, 2009, 06:05:33 pm DRR was really the only thing making callies USEFUL.
You could actually.. kill one or two guys and injure the others, not just shower them in rainbows. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: LCII on October 18, 2009, 02:25:13 am Not to be an ass, but calliopes are horrible (I suppose also for the allied player, but still)
It hits nothing for the first 20 shots, and while your troops (including a P4) are way out of it's range, 3 freak shots just bring the full health P4 to under 50% and kill a squad... :/ HATE calliopes, they can be so useless but also so BS. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Akranadas on October 18, 2009, 02:27:34 am Imagine if they were like what they were in real life.
Each rocket was equal to 105mm HE shell and a Calliope had 60 of those that it could use in about 1min. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: fallensoldier7 on October 18, 2009, 02:41:38 am LOL a 1 min barrage with the current missiles would be epic enough.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Demon767 on October 18, 2009, 02:47:52 am Bah than you guys are failing at using calliopes.
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: LCII on October 18, 2009, 02:51:46 am Also imagine it takes a bout a day to reload that thing: fine, you can have 1 shot of it in the whole game, with way louder noise, but it will get stronger rockets! :D
Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Mysthalin on October 18, 2009, 06:53:19 am Hey, one use of a 60 shell 105 barrage is fucking fine by me!
I'd buy 3 of those ;P. Title: Re: Doctrine Discussion - 3rd Week of October Post by: Ununoctium on October 18, 2009, 09:02:14 am Hey, one use of a 60 shell 105 barrage is fucking fine by me! 60 shell high-speed barrage :DI'd buy 3 of those ;P. |
