COH: Europe In Ruins

Recently saw some replays of this game, it looks wicked cool.

Men of War is okay. I have it. I like it.

It's very technical. You need line of sight for everything. Tanks need escort units and spotters. Units can be hidden in trees and buildings. Every faction can hide AT Guns and emplacements. Everything is valuable. A single soldier with an AT grenade can disable a heavy tank or outright destroy a lighter one. So it is important to have spotters.

When tanks are de-crewed, you can recrew them with pilots. Even enemy tanks can be recrewed and stolen. And when you run out of ammo, you have to call a resupply truck. You can drive a fast vehicle into the enemy's backfield, hook up with his artillery battery and tow it away, stealing it.

Artillery is extremely powerful. A Katyusha barrage can take out multiple tanks, if they are close together.

Urban warfare is fun too, like the video shows. There are a lot of things for infantry to do. Tanks can even drive straight through buildings, if the tanks are strong enough. Or if an enemy tank is on the other side of a building, you can fire a piercing shell and hit it.

Coh is more fun for online for sure because the action is faster paced and you don't have to micro every single men.

this game is horrible.

it is indeed true that you have to micro every unit in the game 10 times more than a sniper in eir, but this unit will die at once if you make one little mistake.

but most of the times this mistake is inevitable because every single unit can cloak. even when you have LOS of where the unit should be hes still cloaked.


and the microing itself is impossible coz of the crappy controls. you cant even move the camera with the keyboard... WTF?

It's like CoH but on hyper realism mode, which makes it ridiculously random and extremely punishing.

I just wanted to drive a tank while my buddy moves the rest of our units =)

Men of war is frikken awesome game. fun when you get the hang of the game style. highly worth pruchasing

and what is your comment of not being able to do one of the most simplest things:

move camera with keyboard.

though sad part is

heavy tanks are useless when you are facing off a infantry spammer. Bazooka, shreck, piat ANY HAND held at that shoots projectiles penetrates ANY armor from ANYWHERE. Its very sad that I can easily shoot a KT or Pershing from frontal armor and only lose like 7 points where enemy loses 100 points worth of a unit.

Talented infantry players are bitch to fight against tbh. Infantry micro is so good in it. Handgrenades that can be set to blow in air etc.

I remember when I blew some randoms T29 with a Dynamite. He was not happy

Yeah but if you have a spotter you can spot those guys. And not all AT weapons penetrate from the front.

Sounds great, tanks are for chickenshits anyways. Real men go inf.

  sweet game some of us from EIR played and had a blast..
Just make the call ins smaller for less micro and the all Tank battles are fun to play has well..

I promise you will like this game, I am a huge fan of thoose games. *beated all the games* ;D

Their the same, this game is just like company of heroes without building at HQ.
It has much better vehicle system than coh cause of its realism of physics.
You shoot the tire it busts, you throw a AT grenade at the tank belts you immobilise it, throw a molotov cocktail at turret you burn the crew and you may fix the vehicle you threw it at and capture it for yourself.

I'll stop there but, this game offers ALOT of oppertunities this is the type of game you would chill with rather then coh :)

ALTHOUGH at my own opinions have anyone else then me noticied the horrible voice acting? ;D

Sometime during like the third campaign mission or around there. Hilarious stuff.

The voice acting is indeed HORRIBLE, specially the "russian" voices are FUUN

Well, I thought we had some MoW division here? Cause I gotz it nowz (like, legalz 2!)

I totally laughed when i heard the german officer at VERNON bonus mission say " Second headquarter division HELLO, requesting artillery strike at *nerdy calculations* LET ZEM BURN! "

And he was really soft saying that, his not like shouting in that shit yelling the cordinates.

Another funny sequence at the russians first mission " With armor like this we'll be chasing the germans till they reach berlin "

For me it sounds like it was the developers themselves with headset ;D
