Title: locked and loaded, and stacking shells.
Post by: salan on June 17, 2010, 08:44:22 pm
I have questions about these two allied abilities.

Locked and Loaded:  Infantry t4 Doctrine

All support:
+25% HP
+20% Accuracy
+10 sight
APR on cooldown

HMG + Mortar:
+5 range

..............

Stacking Shells Infantry T3 unlock
adds x2 AP rounds to all your MG and ATGs currently on the field.

=============================

question is simple.

AP rounds for MGs and ATGs with only locked and loaded is on a timer, but obviously you still need to buy them? or are they free?

if they are free, and if you have that, does stacking shells effect it at all? Ie giving you use for free as a BA?

Hmm but the real question is .. does locked and loaded give it to you free for the units? or would you use stacking shells to give it out for free and free up the AMMO use in game.. hmm

All I gotta say is there are better T4s, heh.

Think it just removes uses and makes them on cooldown, still gotta buy them though.  But the Stacking Shells works on recrews should the original crew die... but meh ability overall.  Needs to be more significant to be worthwhile I say.

great thing about stacking shells is it isn't just on 57's but on paks and 6pdr's as well and on the mg42 and vickers.

Thats pretty useful Tym...!

Well.. I'm thinking of running an allied support company, and this is the best options.  Locked and loaded tree and steady sights with Stacking shells and an officer for the most buffs i can get on them.

Should be interesting eitherway.

I've been contemplating doing this but i can't be bothered to level up a inf company again.

Stacking Shells gives AP rounds to every MG or ATG (Including Captured ones). If you use stacking Shells when you have locked and loaded it reduces the recharge of the AP rounds by 60 seconds for each time Stacking Shells is used. The unit has to already have AP rounds by either purchase or Stacking Shells before it can get the reduction though.

Confusingly fun!

so, if it puts ap rounds on cooldown, does that mean that you can pick up your 57 after it's been decrewed and it'll still have them?

No you still have to either purchase AP rounds or use stacking shells to receive them.

If you use Stacking Shells on a weapon that already has AP rounds then it gets a recharge reduction. I don't think I actually documented that anywhere. My bad.

nope, would've been nice to know, i just dont know how useful that really is. I don't think anyone's even got stacking shells. It used to be more handy when there were more uses, but now you only get two and most people won't have more than 2 at guns at once, unless you just want to make it more effective and pick up bunch of at guns around the field and then add ap rounds, its pretty weak for a t3 doc unlock.
