It never really enjoyed any good success since the crews were just fodder and poorly trained and never benefited from its strengths which were mobility overall performance from armor to main. it never really had any above the german tanks. Poor optics, poor crew lay out and just ruff overall. At least in theory the sherman had its gyrosights but lol doctrine specified never to fire on the move.
