COH: Europe In Ruins

So, last night i played a game with Firesparks, he had a couple of Comets out on the field, and i must say, they seem pretty rocking..

what stats do you guys have for them?  it seems to fire faster than a FF, and seems to take more of a beating as well.

Yea they are quite badass sence they can penetrait the front armor on a Jagd allmost nonstop and only bounced a few times.

17pdr, or in the case the the comet, 77mm, could penetrate the front of a jagd at decent distance, so i see no issue.. :)

This game is not about being realistic and is more for gameplay.

It's a crom chassis with an FF gun isn't it?
All i've heard is that they don't fail to hit infantry ever, and that they're decent AT too!

I'm going to consider that it's in beta stage, Firesparks is probably just using them so he can work out how to balance them :).

ya, they looked pretty solid to me, they where hitting infantry, and owning basically any axis armor that appeared on the field..


and ICE i know this game isnt about realism, but i was not sure if you were complaining that it was penetrating jagd frontally... i was just say eh, it could do it, so why not in game?

Between the Achilles and the Firefly the British have too many dedicated Anti-Tank tanks.

The comet is intended to fill the role more commonly associated with the Tiger. Although not identically. There are a few stat differences but it's an accurate comparison

i heard it more of a weaker panther. probably 50% acc vs infantry, haven't checked the rgds yet.

Axis needs more heavy armour

+1. screw allies.

Axis have the Panther, JagdPanther, Tiger and King Tiger.

Allies have the Pershing, Jumbo and the Churchill, and the Jumbo/Churchill are infantry support tanks at best.

Axis already has heavy armor. The panther is a cheaper price now and more than worthy enough to be considered heavy armor. I do understand that you guys might want to see more "unique" axis heavy armor units though. That would be cool.

adding the maus with disadvantages and advantages over the king tiger will be good. diversity is good

i have a feeling if that unit were to be implemented in EIRR it would be possibly the clumsiest unit ever.

If a tank that durable and increadably slow was added in......

I played vs the Comet, and i have to admit the AI capabilities where abit to awesome, considering, that the britts have also button, Piats and the emplacements, they are becoming more and more around factions.

Ofc i only played one game, plus it was against Spartan aswell who used lots and lots of emplacements AND my fjs did not have working sprint, which as PE facing this made it rather (for an average player like myself) hard to counter, had to be on the aggressive. But one thing i also saw, was mandos with brens... i dont know what to make of this, since they also have there mando piats... But i will have to come back at a later date when i have played more games vs these units and note what i can do vs them.

But Iam grateful the comet is back, verity is king, so thanks Firesparks for implementation and tryouts, for our sakes making the game that much more fun ^^

it's a reward unit anyway, you're not going to see it much.

Firesparks told me that they don't get button

the Para commandos doesn't get button with the bren. It's a pure dps upgrade for them.
