Title: Mini-Campaign Scenario One
Post by: Mister Schmidt on June 02, 2011, 03:51:24 am
Scenario one: XXX core armored spearhead attempts to breakthrough German lines. Allied attack.
Allies: 1 British and 2 American with mechanized/tank centered companies. I'm talking just about every call in being either tanks, LVs, or Infantry in a halftrack. Artillery? Yes. And it can only be used in the first 10 minutes of battle.
Axis: 2 Defensive Wehrmacht companies and a Luftwaffe PE with very few tanks. Probably only stugs. Mostly man packed AT and ATGs for Anti-tank.

Axis

Defensive - Rocksitter
Defensive - Katusha
Luftwaffe - Heartmann

Allies

Infantry - TheVolskinator
Engineers - Scotzmen
Armour - Tym

Allied companies must be entirely mechanised, meaning tanks & vehicles only. In order to bring infantry onto the field, you MUST bring them in a halftrack/bren carrier. I might see about getting the roo reinstated purely as a transport (disable the firing slots) for this game.
This means NO ATG's whatsoever.

Infantry

You are allowed to use all types of infantry including unlocks, assuming they arrive in a halftrack.
You may use up to 2 Jumbos.
You may NOT use M4 Sherman's.
You may use up to 2 M10's.
You may use up to 4 M8's.
You may use up to 3 GMC's.
You may use up to 2 Quad's.
You may use 1 Jeep.
Offmaps are NOT allowed.
You may use 1 Howitzer, but it must be retreated and not recrewed after 10 minutes are up, after the defense timer has run out (14 minutes total).
You may NOT use a Triage.
You may use 1 Sniper.

Engineers

You are allowed to use all types of infantry, including unlocks, assuming they arrive in a bren carrier. (will see about roo's)
You may use up to 2 Churchill Crocodiles.
You may use up to 3 Churchill Mark VI's.
You may use up to 5 Churchill Mark IV's.
You may use 1 AVRE.
You may use 1 Firefly.
You may use up to 2 CCT's.
You may use up to 2 Stuart's.
You may use up to 3 Staghound's.
You may use 1 25 Pounder, but it must be retreated and not recrewed after 10 minutes are up, after the defense timer has run out (14 minutes total).
You may use a single CCS.

Armour

You are allowed to use all types of infantry including unlocks, assuming they arrive in a halftrack.
You may use up to 2 Pershing's.
You may use up to 3 Sherman's.
You may use 1 Sherman Crocodile.
You may use up to 2 T17's.
You may use up to 3 M8's.
You may use up to 4 Hellcat's.
You may NOT use Quad's.
You may NOT use Jeep's.
You may NOT use Sniper's.
You may use 1 M10.

Axis companies do not have to be mechanised, they should be much more static and will only have access to a few vehicles. You don't have to bring troops in halftracks, but you may if you wish.

Defensive

APPLIES TO BOTH DEFENSIVE PLAYERS

You may use all forms of Infantry unless prohibited, with weapon unlocks.
You may use all your doctrine unit unlocks.
You may use up to 2 Flak 88's.
You may use any number of Pak 38's.
You may use up to 4 Pak 40's.
You may use up to 5 Le.IG's
You may use up to 3 Officers.
You may use a single Rocket Artillary.
You may use up to 2 StuG's.
You may NOT use Panther's.
You may NOT use Panzer IV's.
You may use 1 Ostwind.
You may use 1 Nebelwerfer.
You may use 1 Bike.
You may use up to 4 Puma's.
You may use up to 3 Upgun Puma's.
You may use any number of Flammenwerfer's.
You may NOT use Sniper's.

Luftwaffe

You may use all forms of infantry, including weapon unlocks, and you may use all doctrine unit unlocks.
You may use a single Henshcel Run.
You may use up to 2 Butterfly Bomb's.
You may use up to 4 Flakvierling's.
You may use 1 Flak 88.
You may use 1 Wirblewind.
You may NOT use Panther's.
You may NOT use IST's.
You may NOT user Marder's.
You may NOT use 50mm's.
You may use 1 Mortar Halftrack.
You may use up to 3 Armoured Cars.
You may use up to 2 Hotchkiss Stuka's.
You may use up to 2 Hotchkiss's.
You may use up to 3 Hotchkiss Upguns.
You may use up 2 LATHT's.
You may use any number of Scout Car's, Munitions Halftrack's, Vampire Halftracks & Kettengrad's.

It is suggested to all players that you ensure you have at least Tier 2 Fuel Advantages.
I would also suggest Axis have dedicated call-in's, but Allies should have mixed call-in's.

Other than the rules above you may customize the rest of your companies in anyway you can, I realize there's not much else you can do but these rules must be strict in order to prevent gimmicky shit.

If anyone thinks there are glaring errors I've made, or things that would be retarded, please post in a constructive manner. I'm bound to have messed something up, I am very tired :(

(will see about roo's)

I wish they still had them. I used to use them religiously because they were so fucking cool!

Luftwaffe seems a little unable t deal with heavy Armour such as Churchs and Pershings...

Yeah roo's won't be happening.

And that's why there's only one of them, and they're expected to have lots of Tank Busters to make up for the lack of 50mm's and Marder's

What was wrong with roos? How could you not love that slow moving 6 firing slot moving bunker of rape?

Sure they were just a massive rolling bunker, but they nerfed them so much that no body used them. You really couldn't find the line between OP and UP with them.

Well I once made a roo company.
After 2 games I deleted the company having felt something that can only be described as pure and intense disgust.

They're that lame.

Just depends on your what you like and what you don't like.

I know it's hard for Brits because you only get the teeny Bren Carriers so as many guys as you can in those and then you can have walk ons.
