The allied forces consisted of Montgomery's desert rats, supported by the 103rd allied airborne div and the 42nd artillery Div. The commanders of the respective divisions receive word that the bulk of the axis advance are heading there way and prepare to hold them off. The battle itself was fierce and grueling, with the axis artillery support having at the time an advantage in accuracy ad effectiveness made it hard for the allied forces to maintain an effective defensive line, combined with vigorous attacks on the flanks from harassing fallschirmjägers and heavy tiger support, the axis forces proved to much for the valiant forces of the allied garrison. There is also a very nice moment when the axis air support gets shot to peices by allied anti-air guns, unfortunately for the allied forces the wreckage of the planes that where shot down, caused immense damage to the allied positions below ;) In truth the axis had luck, combined with a much much higher presences of veteran German forces, against the well trained and commanded, but nevertheless inexperienced allied forces, the battle was over in a couple of hours. (in other words it was abit of a stomp, the allied players had all lvl 5 coys, while the axis all had lvl 9) But it was a fun game tbh. vs 2x PE players. No brainer to get that many kills on a ranger squad. I lolled at the gameplay. This works as a example why support spam is so easy vs panzer elite.
