I just cant wait any longer.

The doctrines are done but we are still waiting for the big toy.

I am starting a petition for the docs to get released before warmap beta, so we don't have to wait another 5 weeks.

petitions are only useful in a democracy.

Having the doctrines in before the warmap would be a better decision imo than releasing them both together. If you release the doctrines now, the community has a chance to play them and iron out the imbalances. If it turns out that Terror doctrine or AB doctrine are horribly OP and break the gameplay then it would sour the coming of our new God (yes I elevated the mod to 'God' status).

Plus I have 300-400 PPs on my terror account. I'd like a chance to play with all the goodies in its new incarnation and not have to wait for this "grindless leveling" system and find out only when T3 advantages become available through the warmap that the terror doctrine is weak.

Your petition is not really necessary.
Also, we (the dev team) should have told you guys what the plan is.

The Plan:

When the Warmap has reached Alpha testing, it will be released to the Development team for preliminary testing. We hope this will not require a wipe, but will not know for sure until it gets released. We will try not to wipe unless it is completely necessary. The purpose of the Alpha testing by the Dev team is to iron out the major bugs. No sense wasting the communities time with a broken map if we can help it.

While we are testing it, EiRRMod will shift his coding focus to completing the scar code required to complete the doctrines.
The completed doctrines will be released for your enjoyment at that time.
When Alpha testing is complete, the warmap will be released in Beta to the Beta Warmap testers. This will require a wipe for sure.

When the Beta testers are complete, the Warmap will be released to the rest of the community.

Note: The Warmap is an important step in the overall completion of the Mod. It is a part that has taken EiRRMod sometime to get motivated to do, but now he is on it full steam. It is his focus and what he wants to do in his free time for your free enjoyment.
For that reason, his focus is on the Warmap and not the Doctrine scar coding. While some of you may disagree with his priorities, it is his mod, his priorities, and his decision to code as he sees fit. This is after all, suposed to be a fun project for him...... ;)

Can we get SOME kind of something until then?

Additional units, or just throw some of the reward units into doctrines, something to change it up. Fewer and fewer people playing each day it seems.

fewer and fewer play not so much because of no doctrines but because of the endless trolls and axis stacking, and since most new guys go allies, it runs them away when a bunch of trolls jump in against a 0-0 noob hoping to stack up on vet.

Ummm...not really Tym, most of us don't play actively anymore because it's boring to do the same old thing over and over for no reason.

It's like WoW, but without new expansions...

You don't expect a non paid team to output something massively new to the gameplay do you?


You know every game will get boring one day. Perhaps its not the content, but instead its just the normal cycle of a gamers mind.

Now what they CAN do is give docs until we get warmap beta :P

no one cares about stacks, no one plays because there has been no new patches in what, over a month and a half? if things stay this way by the time the warmap is out barely anyone will be playing.

and i think you're wrong dark, with the bi-monthly cycle there were always people because there was always something new around the corner.

and i dont think anyone is asking for anything massively new, people are just asking for doctrines at this point.

also i dont know if it has anything to do with anything, but i feel like we were seeing a lot of donations when things were bi-weekly.


what if! what if EIRR mod gives us a donation goal, and if we meet it in a week or something he changes priorities to getting doctrines in ;) ? or maybe we should get pool our money together and send some lovely ladies with coolers of beer to NZ to do some convincing  :D!

The thing thats frustrating, is that the doctrines are all done for the most part, just waiting on the warmap patch for implementation.

Add the non-3 point reward units as base non-doctrinal units until warmap. There's going to be a wipe anyways, at least shake up the metagame a bit.

maybe we should start charging people monthly if they wanna play :p ,you'll play game for which you paid this month :p

I am not playing so much over the week,downloaded Bulletstorm,MassEffect,Dragon Age,FEAR 3 not to be board these 2 weeks until college starts again  :P
And waiting weekend for Night Rain to come and plah :D

Well yea, some parts need to be finished, but a lot of abilities are ready to go too.

I just want a friggen patch so CW and PE vehicles dont shoot while repairing  ::) and for my RE bottom T2 to work.

Yes, Hulldown, ablative armor, double repair, fire and repair churchill crocs are getting pretty fucking broken, frankly im getting tired of it. when a tiny patch can fix it
