Title: PR team.... Post by: nugnugx on October 22, 2011, 12:18:50 am We need atleast 50 people at lowest in launcher for smooth playing to get fast games in launcher, just like in old times....
We have to spam all COH forums with eir links. COH still at peek has over 8k people , max ever was 12k, after 7 years this still is a damn big community. I'm sure that we can have 100 people in launcher at same time easily. So my suggestion, everyone find a COH forum in *their* language(or in other if you communicate) and post atleast 1 link on 1 forum, if everyone does that we can have a good influx of ppl. Oh yea also it will be much better when noobs will be able to play noobs and not getting stomped. Title: Re: PR team.... One of the best ways to get people is Sunday Night fights if they start again, and getting more of us to stream on http://broadcast.fulltimegeek.de/ the most popular CoH stream website. Post by: nugnugx on October 22, 2011, 09:16:45 am Spamming forums isnt a good way to get people to play. by spamming i didn't mean spamming 1 forum over and over but if everyone would found 1 forum and posted a link from our community, that's like over 50 active users we would have 50 forum links and probably some people would come. Title: Re: PR team.... Post by: Dnicee on October 22, 2011, 09:46:27 am Wait until the warmap is out before doing that... If you decide to do it that is.
Title: Re: PR team.... Post by: tank130 on October 22, 2011, 09:51:51 am The Dev team made a decision to hold off on any big PR until the Warmap had completed it's Beta testing.
As well: if you have not noticed, we have redone our training videos in anticipation of an influx of new players. We will be rearranging the forums a little as well to help new players find Tutorials easier. The worst thing we can do is start a PR blitz now when we do not have the proper infrastructure in place. Doctrine scar coding is incomplete, the "PE can't cap" Hot Fix is not in place, and we still need to do the wipe for the Warmap Beta. A PR blitz now would be shooting ourselves in the foot. I think you need to look up the definition of spam. Title: Re: PR team.... It's days like today I am thankful you have no input whatsoever on the Dev team........ In most cases, you only have one chance to impress a new client and have them use your product. You only get one chance at a first impression if you will... Any new person coming to this mod today would be confused. PE can not cap....WTF. It say Warmap on my launcher, but it doesn't do anything....WTF. Then they try to play a game, but it makes no sense because they didn't know how to play.....WTF That person leaves unless he gets a chance to speak to someone and have the issues explained. In most cases, the newbie just leaves and doesn't come back. Months later when we start our PR campaign, they will ignore it and tell their friends the mod sucks. Business 101: Only 4% of your unhappy customers will lodge a complaint. The rest will just leave and tell their friends how bad it was. Unless you are able to speak one on one with a newbie before they come here, it is a bad decision to recruit right now. Title: Re: PR team.... (http://That person leaves unless he gets a chance to speak to someone and have the issues explained. No one is buying anything and no one is selling. To you it might be business Tank. But to 98% of people who are here it is not. Title: Re: PR team.... Title: Re: PR team.... Post by: Jstek on October 22, 2011, 10:48:16 am Wait for Warmap release.
Wait for Auto Matcher. Otherwise, your going to be having a$$hole$ stomping all the new players and they won't want to continue to play. Title: Re: PR team.... Obviously that should not deter you all from bringing in personal friends on a personal basis, where you can explain things for them, but as to pulling people off the street, I am going to wait till we have a stable product. That doesnt mean everything needs to be finished, but our centerpiece items cant be disabled and broken things need fixing first. |
