COH: Europe In Ruins

If your pants are unsoiled, then, then please never call yourself a "Strategy" fan again, because this is the most promising looking game I've seen in... in... since I saw the first supreme commander trailer.



I mean, hell, from that trailer alone you have...

- Huge maps
- Stats up the arse
- Ammunition level details on units
- Realistic Firing ranges

And... and so much more, but you know the best part?


Developed by fucking Eugen Systems... They made Act of War and Ruse!!! The first is pretty much the best strategy game of its class and the second is one of the best in recent years, and now they are going hardcore.

I hope that was some sort of unpolished beta version, because it looked like crap.

Guess what... it IS! That is fairly old footage someone put together...
But given that was the only thing you had to say, lol, this game certainly was never for you to begin with  ;)

The fact that I had nothing more to say was more a comment on how I couldn't complain about the game mechanics, but whatever, read into it however you like.

Still wont like the game,

It doesnt have the atmosphere that CoH has which is superbly done if I might say so my self.

Even when I bought starcraft it didnt appeal to me as much as CoH did, I felt like i was just sending units into a meat grinder while in CoH I am trying to keep these guys alive, its just one of the few things to name why I still play and like CoH.

Errrr, what does starcraft have to do with this?
I mean, starcraft is was far as you can get from "Wargame" style strategy games...

This game looks alright. Not really my style. I never really liked those type of wargames.

nikomas, there are really alot of different strategy gametypes. To say this one is the ultimate strategy game and everyone who dont like it is no strategy fan is a fucking lie.

gamemechanics: not better then in coh, its a video so maybe iam wrong

running around with some tanks or helli sounds not that strategic lol

AND a video never totally shows if a game is ULTIMATE strategy or not.

Yeah, a lot can surely go wrong but as far as wargame style strategy game, this looks to be the best thing yet, look up a few interviews if you wonder why I'm so stupidly hyped...

All I see in this video is a shitty version of World in Conflict.

I once legitly got to do operation sea lion, it never happened again.

You can get Sealion two different years.. one in 40 and one in 43. You've played 43. Because you never got a major victory in second part of france.

It looks like it has potential. But it is neither (a) finnished or (b) nearly as good as you seem to think it is now.
It might turn out to be the greatest wargame in the decade but right now you just look like an overhyped fanboy.

Well Duh, I realize that much... But since they've made two really good RTS games (seriously, act of war...) they earned it  ;)

As its not finished, it is not possible for you to have knowledge about its quality. It could be quite possibly the best game ever.

I like it, It sounds like a Cold war-RUSE and RUSE was pretty good
