ok im posting this from my phone and i dont have android or anything like that, so i hoped i clicked in the right area.

anyways, im playing with mid t4 armor and what am i better off with for AT? two pershings or 3 hell cats? what are the damage and penetration for the two? i feel that pershing is only reliable against medium armor, and too risky to fight panthers, i feel m18s will put more hurt on those heavy tanks.

if your going middle t4 probably the pershing.

As far as i know i would take a HC to fight tanks since the range and speed you get.

Pershings will take on Panthers if you get in to close range.

Tigers will for the most part out-perform you (70% pen vs your 50%), but aren't too active in the meta at the moment. Against Jagds and KT's though, your better off with M18's.

The Pershings though with the middle T4 gain access to HE rounds which can put serious amounts of hurt on infantry, as well as the 12% less incoming damage stacking with vet 1 (15% less) to make a pretty solid 25.2% less incoming damage.

Tbh, if you are doing the middle T4, you should be trolling all over the place with main gun Calli's.

More health, better armor, more damage.

but the m18 is faster and quicker and cheaper. So its preference as well.

I'd personally go with the m18s as i like to be able to get out of there.

Middle t4, use fuel for your AI and then munitions based AT.

So Pershings/Shermans and ATGs.

M18 can do great against panthers and all other tanks + its the fastest tank in the mod and it cost less, so if you fuck with it, no big deal. just call in the 2 you have in reserve.

the only thing that makes the pershing better is that it can kill inf and have better armor.

You are making an annoying habit of totally misinterpreting what I say.

At what point did I say that the Pershing is a Panther killer? I said that the Pershing will take on a Panther AT CLOSE RANGE.

Next, at what point did I say that an M18 is incapable of taking on a Panther? Again, I said no such thing. The M18 will give the Panther a run for it's money, but WILL require support - A fact that I did NOT go into, as he wanted the merits of using his specified T4, which gives a much bigger benefit to using Pershings than to using M18's.

If he turned around and said he's using HVAP, I'd have told him to get M18's all over that shit.

Not only that, I ultimately said that if he want's to be using his specified T4, Urban Survival Kits, then he should really be using Calli's as they reap the most rewards from the T4 in question.

Finally, for the love of Christ, do NOT file me in the same boat as Tym.

2. A panther can't back up faster than a pershing can go forward. Yes a panther outranges it but a pershing WILL catch it. I have never lost a pershing to a panther, even if my pershing was at half health.

3. lmao to anyone who thinks i said an m18 can't beat a panther, i just said a pershing is BETTER at it. It was made TO kill panthers in vCoH.

DPS against harder targets, yes.

Medium targets and below? Fairly sure the Pershing takes the biscuit.

However, HVAP Pershings still retain the title of the single highest penetrating tank for the US. Now if I could just get me that toggle...

The Cuckoo cannot use HVAP.

Maybe people would think the Hellcat is better because it is...? Honestly you'll do just as well with a well microed Hellcat as you would with a well microed pershing with less risk. You're using a 320 fuel unit that has a better chance to penetrate the panther at max range to do probably just as much damage as the 545 fuel pershing would do. You also don't have to charge in, and it costs 4 less pop. There's pretty much no argument you could make that would say the pershing serves the role of a tank destroyer better than a hellcat...(And unlike you Tym, I'm not pulling all of this out of my ass, I've used a LOT of pershings recently...)

I still say, that with Middle T4, you are better off with HE Pershings and ATGs as AT. Wasting Fu on AT and Mu on AI is stupid.

thanks for the replies every one, seems its a mixed bag, and maybe i should of thought to add this as well.

if im not using pershings, ill be using calling it in, which will make my m18s shoot faster with more accuracy.

also the way im running this company i dont have too much support to run more atgs, so im really relying on these vehicles for AT unfortunately.

i guess ill just have to try both and see how it is, but im simply not fond of the pershing since i have to get so close, but i think once i get my pershings to vet 1 itll be worth it, so we will see.

how do people like calling it in?

Calling it in needs to provide either more significant accuracy buffs or more significant reload buffs.

As it stands, it's extremely meh.

If you don't use Pershings, grab Calli's. They mesh VERY well with the middle T4.

Whichever you go for, always grab Mark Target. It's the bane of Snipers, Storms and Falls everywhere and can let your Pershing hit infantry reliably at max range. It also helps your teammates which is always a bonus.

As an armoured company, you should always be running atleast 3-4 Jeeps. Ideally, you'd want more. Mark Target is really THAT useful. Plus. it means you've always got a scout in field which is extremely useful too.
