Maybe this time we'll get more than 2 Acts of legitimate stealth action. And maybe the guards won't all be hired from a pool of people with ophthalmic astigmatism. I really dislike the obvious anachronisms they've been doing with this game and Peace Walker though. Hovering robots and holographic displays in the 70's? Yeah right.

If by smart you mean inserts redundant adjectives to make you look like a pretentious fool, I wouldn't be surprised. All you'd really need would be a thesaurus that replaces words with longer/uncommon synonyms.

Overall, a meaningless video. Sure, the graphics are nice but I'd rather have some meaty gameplay than 13 minutes of graphic display coupled with small story tidbits (To be blunt, I hated character development in PW and couldn't give a damn about Paz or Chico. I hope they give you the option to put a bullet in each head). I like the look of the rain but I feel as if the textures for the ground and rocks are off. Some of the graphics seem a little too "clean," similar to FFXIII... *cringes*. Nonetheless, I am excited. It should be a good game so long as Kojima is in charge of directing/producing/everything else as he was in the previous numbered metal gear solids.

Well the thing that impressed the most was the faces from what I saw... It's about the first time I've seen any face in a game look somewhat belivable, even in the better ones they normally look uncanny as fuck, or well, "Videogame face". Specifically talking bout the random mercs, they look, well "Plain/normal"... but in a good way.

Also, they're saying this will run on current gen consoles... bwahahaha, preeeeety sure neither the xbox or ps3 can do an open worldish game looking like that without some significant downscaling.

They will probably release a severely dumbed down version for current gen consoles.

If I recall correctly, Kojima did say that they were running it on a PC with a very similar loadout to the PS3. I think it is possible that they'll be able to put it on PS3 without downscaling. I don't own a PS3, but I've yet to see it capped in terms of graphics. However, if they put it on Xbox360, they will have to downscale for sure. On top of that, Kojima maxed out the blu-ray disc for MGS4. He was complaining that the disk was too small and had to cut content (I guess he felt like there wasn't much of a reason to add a second disc for a few GB). Cool graphics, something I really dont give a damn about.

Dont get me wrong I liked the gameplay of MGS4 but good graphics are a very temporary happiness for me in comparison to gameplay, which tends to keep me entertained 5x longer.

Oh and personally I think for what graphics are worth, its the style of graphics rather than the quality that makes it have a longer lasting impression. If you know what I mean.
