Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: Jodomar on November 19, 2012, 07:54:06 am Ok, if we can all put together $1000 dollars we can have ourselves an EIR Guild Cruiser class ship that can dock several fighters! We have 5 hours left any takers?
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: Baine on November 19, 2012, 08:31:42 am Where is tank when you need him!

Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: Jodomar on November 20, 2012, 11:08:33 am They still may allow you to buy the packages but you will not have lifetime insurance on your ships.
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: puddin on November 20, 2012, 06:49:06 pm They still may allow you to buy the packages but you will not have lifetime insurance on your ships. thepackages only have 6 momnths of insurance.... Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: AmPM on November 21, 2012, 12:09:55 am I think I will be upgrading to the RSI Constellation...who will be my Chewbacca
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: brn4meplz on December 06, 2012, 03:14:14 am I forgot about getting on the purchase with this. Just remembered today.
Appears I missed my deadline for Lifetime insurance(nov 26th) I'm gonna get the $65 pack I think, tempting as the $125 is I won't see material gain until Nov. of 2014. I know the guys who had ships before and add more still get the Lifetime insurance for a bit. and you can sell the ship and the insurance transfers which might be handy if i change my mind later on. (Yeah I'm gonna look around the info for a bit. from what I can tell I could give you guys the money to add a ship with Lifetime insurance. and then in the finished game you could gift it to me and I'd get the benefit of it. Clearly this would require a great deal of trust.) Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: AmPM on December 06, 2012, 10:58:32 am Im planning on the Constellation. So will need gunners and fighter pilot anyway.
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: Sachaztan on December 06, 2012, 11:09:12 am Im planning on the Constellation. So will need gunners and fighter pilot anyway. I actually want to grab a trading vessel but I think the Pirate package would give a nice alternate play style

I think as a group we are short a dedicated dogfighter/tackler. Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: CommanderHolt on December 06, 2012, 08:06:30 pm I bought in a week or two before the end of crowdfunding. I got a Origin 300i.
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: AmPM on August 23, 2013, 02:59:00 pm So, it's nearing that time. The time when you can't add on any more stuff to your pre-order package.
Who has what, I'm still sitting on my F7A but I've been tempted to upgrade to the next package up for the Constellation. However, with the new ships that have come out, should we just save up in game money as a group to get something else? Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: brn4meplz on August 23, 2013, 08:53:04 pm I was waiting to Add a ship to someones Package and then have them trade it to me. That was what the Language said a while back but I don't know if it's still the case.
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: AmPM on August 30, 2013, 02:14:27 pm I can add ships with Lifetime Insurance, and then trade them to others. However, they won't get Alpha access.
I'm thinking of picking up the Aegis Avenger in addition to my F7C. The only downside to my Hornet is that it doesn't have a crew area for sleeping or whatnot (it's a carrier based escort fighter, not a civilian style ship). All of the other ships have room to walk around, a bed, galley area, etc. They may not be spacious but they have some other areas than a cockpit. The Freelancer has some sight line "issues", it's designed like a cargo ship/airliner and visibility wasn't a big concern. It feels and looks like a cargo ship though. New hanger mod is pretty neat, just so you can see the amount of detail in the models. Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: EIRRMod on September 18, 2013, 06:23:56 am The pirate ship looks nice. I think as a group we are short a dedicated dogfighter/tackler. Id like to take that role.I havent got the game with lifetime insurance, so uh, dont know what to do about that really. Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: EIRRMod on September 19, 2013, 12:56:45 am Yeah the interceptor version of the 300series looks slllleeeeek as hell!
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: AmPM on September 19, 2013, 05:18:43 pm Yeah the interceptor version of the 300series looks slllleeeeek as hell! Take a look at the Avenger. It's bigger, but all of its maneuvering thrusters are articulated and it has a bigger main engine. Also, mounts the biggest weapon available on a fighter. It's like the Bf-109/Yak-9/A-10 of space Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: EIRRMod on September 20, 2013, 03:22:13 am Articulated meaning what? What does it do to the flight model?
Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: XIIcorps on September 20, 2013, 03:35:05 am Meaning they have a point of pivot thus increase maneuverability.
So rather then having only north south east and west maneuvering thrusters they are capable of NE NW SE SW to sumise it for the layman. Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: brn4meplz on September 20, 2013, 07:41:16 am Even still I'm not sure that summarizes it very well.
It basically affects your overate pitch and yaw control. There are even different types of articulation. Title: Re: Star Citizen Post by: AmPM on September 20, 2013, 11:27:00 am Even still I'm not sure that summarizes it very well. It basically affects your overate pitch and yaw control. There are even different types of articulation. Consider that a normal stationary maneuvering thruster only fires in one direction. The articulated ones can fire in a range of directions based on the type of articulation. So you can get more thrusters aiding in a movement than you would with a standard single vector thruster. The Avenger is currently my most looked forward to ship. The size 5 gun means it should destroy anything it can line up on. Mostly I think it will be good to hunt down the large ships, while still being a sizeable threat to small ships with its array of missiles and smaller guns. Also, for a limited time, the Drake Interplanetary Caterpillar is for sale. It's a "transport" built for boarding. |
