Certainly not a new development - it's been around for years.

And to think much more recently than that there were still clowns going around bragging about essentially meaningless IQ's as if it meant something. It's really amazing what ridiculous, hilarious concepts people willingly delude themselves into believing for the sake of vanity.

Fortunately we've got guys like you and me around who have known that IQ measuring is a complete joke for years. We wouldn't be caught dead ever falling into that trap. Nope, instead we can nod knowingly at this study's comprehensive report as if we've been in firm agreaance with its conclusions all along.

I played a few times two weeks ago actually, unfortunately I'm busy as of now and I have precious little time to devote to personal matters, let alone EiRR.

If you or I played half as poorly as he did, would we want to be seen in game?

And I love the silence after pointing out his third disastrous venture into typo police hypocrisy.

Wait, you have time to post on the forum and arguing about something retarded and yet not enough time to play EIR during the holidays?
I don't get it.

A forum post takes mere seconds to compose, whereas you and I both know games in EiRR can take an hour total on average if one includes set-up times and waiting for people to get in the game.

Only the definition of IQ is a myth, it may not be an exact measure of intelligence but it still determines your ability to think logically. Obviously to measure intelligence in every aspect there would have to be a lot more tests in various areas of expertise.

Then make time to play EIR you noob.

There's other things I like to do with my free time than playing EiRR. I play it and (mostly) enjoy it, however, it certainly doesn't take precedence over other things in life.

What was perhaps even more interesting was how they found that those who play video games scored significantly higher in reasoning and short term memory.

Granted they don't explain which games they're talking about (I'd bet more along the lines of a game like EiR than Call of Duty) but it's interesting nonetheless.

Scumbag Vermillion: doesn't play the mod, isn't any good at it either, but still clings around on the forums inexplicably skulking in the shadows.

Sure every now and then he gets bold enough to risk some kind of ill-conceived outburst only to get browbeaten into submission... but you'd be a fool to think embarrassment or directly demonstrated contradiction could stop him completely. Sure he may give up the particular fight in question and retreat without acknowledgement... but he will just go dormant and rebuild his courage only to inexplicably attempting the exact same gambit again when you least expect it. It might be a few weeks later, maybe a few months, but he'll try it again. In his mind all those other times were just flukes, and this time will be different! He'll make them all see!

Wind lay off it already, why start man, all he said was that the concept of IQ as a defining factor of human intelligence has been under scrutiny for some time, its not that unknown, why make such a big deal of it?

there was a study on Einsteins brain. Forgot what they found, but it was abnormal. Something to do with physical makeup of certain brain nerves.

But what they did find was that it had more shall we say "Wrinkles" in it, and via that found that the more wrinkles or edges the brain has the higher amount of neural processing power the individual posses.

Well im not saying that this theory is the only "truth" but it has some valid points made about the theory, also according to the hypothesis cheff would at least have to have some wrinkles, a smooth brain, would be almost as good as dead in brain and in so neuro processing.
