are hotchiss light vehicles or tanks? as tanks do they get the 20% speed buff for tanks in the Mechanized Support tier 4 for TH?

Since they are called "Hotchkiss Light Tank" it's only logical they're tanks and get the buff. I don't see why it wouldn't

Should we apply tank class buffs to chaffes and the +200HP ablative buff to stuarts? It's a light tank after all.

You shoud reword that: Should we apply tank buffs to tanks? No nikomas we shouldn't because that totally doesn't make sense to give tanks tank buffs

It's not a problem unless someone is pretending they think hotches and stuarts are supposed to be tanks. While someone might make that mistake you sure as hell should not.

so the question is now: are hotchkiss coded as light vehicles or tanks with respect to recieving either the light vehicle buffs of mid tier 3 Zimmerit, or the tank speed buff of bottom tier 4 Mechanized Support?

They are not supposed to be tanks, these 2 vehicles are tanks whether you like it or not. If you feel certain doctrine abilities make them too powerful then exclude them in the description, but oh wait those never get updated anyway

They're armed like light vehicles, armored like light vehicles, priced like light vehicles and play like light vehicles... Obviously, they're tanks. You know as well as I do that using real life arguments for CoH serves zero value, in CoH they're LV's, that simple.


Omgniko, they're classed as LV's and they should recieve any general LV buffs.

They do, and we're done here.

They get elite crits and -10% recived penetration as per description, they do not get reduced damage from HHAT, don't ask me, I didn't code it. So it's a tank then, but the Stuart Light Tank is an LV, go figure.

But you are in charge of coding now, so if there is an error shouldn't you be fixing it? Unless of course you are waiting for the previous coder to come back and fix it......lol

Well first, we'll need to decide if the hotchkiss is a tank or a light vehicle, because the hotchkiss seems to have an identity dissorder.
