Last night Bonte really felt like being a douche. Skunker, Stranger, Kolath, Neyvn, and Apoxian can all testify to this. At one point he created accounts of everyone to crash the server and put phantoms in every channel.

It was most likely some random idiot doing some vent harassing than the actual bonte (because even the Bonte account was a fake). ANYWAY, it's been dealt with.

No, what your doing is logging on an spaming phantoms of yourself in every channel.

Bonte if it wasn't you who was ghosting the sever, making multiple phantoms, and lagging the server then it a hard time believing it wasn't you.

dude i logged back on to get rid of all my phantoms...besides how do u open multiple vent names at the same time...my vent says...an instance of this program is already running...

but if you guys dont beleive me i guess ill have to quit EIR...i mean seriously..i dont get why you guys think im doing all this shit...

well, I apologies for kicking you then. It was just a little to strange for someone to harass vent, then for you to log on a phantom the entire server

umm if u remember i already phantomed the entire server before i dced...then when i reconnected...the phantoms were still there

I didn't know that because I wasn't on the server at that time. All I know is what people told me; I logged on and was being accused of being a fake that you made. Now, I did my best to fix the situation and I hope you could understand that.

Again, I am sorry for kicking you from Vent, but you have to realize, I was kicking about 5 fake accounts that were being used to spam Duke Nukem quotes every 40 seconds or so, and they would just keep popping up on the server. 

Why didn't we have this problem with TS?  I love vent, maybe this host is really crappy?  I know there are many other out there.  Something to consider if we keep having this issue.

It has to have been an inside job, not a random internet griefer.  Why?  Because all the fake names were  the names of actual EiR players (Apex, Wraith, Stuart, Scrapking, etc.).  A random person on the net wouldn't know to use those names.

Now is it possible it wasn't Bonte?  I suppose.  Only server logs of IP addresses could determine that.

Future-Phantomers, watch out :P

As of now, Guests can only have one IP on the server at a time.  Can not add phantoms.  Can not send TTS or WAV binds.

This should cut down on the random spammers as well.

We can't because they have access to too many options.  Ventrilo needs to improve the group management system. 

Guests are no longer capable of sending any time of event bind either.

From what I've seen you can create a "control level" with name & rank and decide all the permission rights manually just fine... ?
