Just curious, you'd probably be the first female EiR fan (with the exception of fl-'s wife :P) Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Bonte on May 10, 2008, 04:49:39 pm Isn't Lina a girl's name? Based on membership information there are 28 females registered on the forums....dont be a sexist son of a bitch unknown...its bad publicity...Just curious, you'd probably be the first female EiR fan (with the exception of fl-'s wife :P) 183:1 m:f ratio...5237 members....calculates out to 28 total female... Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Unkn0wn on May 10, 2008, 04:52:52 pm I wouldn't be surprised if that information is flawed.
Also this has absolutely nothing to do with sexism or publicity, it's merely curiousity. Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Bonte on May 10, 2008, 04:53:42 pm are you questioning my mathamatical skills? or the fact that all the dev team members registered as females?
X(females) 1 __________ ______________ 5237 = 183 183X=5237 (cross multiplication) 5237 ________ = X 183 Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Unkn0wn on May 10, 2008, 04:56:43 pm If your math is as good as your grammar/spelling, I'm having serious doubts.
Also I believe those ratios only hold rounded numbers, a 0.5 female ratio could thus be rounded up to 1. Or a 0.1 could even be 'rounded off' to 1 just to illustrate that there is in fact at least 1 female. Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: salan on May 10, 2008, 04:57:53 pm During that spring break there was a kid going through vent listening to all the rooms.. i was kinda under the weather and my mom had just gotten off teh phone with me where she was being rather negative. I was talking about my mom being a bit of a bitch with the guys in the channel and this woman starts to talk about how often she has heard that in her lifetime. She was old, probably 40-50's... screening the community for her kid or as I thought maybe an outside reviewer..
Either way it was kinda funny, that was the first time I heard a female voice in EIR vent. I keep trying to get my gf to say hi and talk dirty, but she won't.. .she thinks we're all geeks, maybe I should show her the Role playing message! Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Unkn0wn on May 10, 2008, 04:58:58 pm I think the roleplay is the worst publicity if any :P.
Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Bonte on May 10, 2008, 04:59:13 pm actually it was 28.2301295490238752
so it could be 28,29.... And no i dont beleive the actual ratio is rounded cause it could be 5237:1 if only 1 female.... besides what does grammer do with anything? just cause i cant spell doesnt mean i cant do math....im a sophmore in trig...(2 years ahead) so i hope i can do a simple ratio right... Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Unkn0wn on May 10, 2008, 05:02:46 pm They teach basic grammar before they teach 'advanced' math , if your school failed at that I can't even begin to imagine the other classes =).
But on a more serious note, the math would be correct if the ratios were accurate but I still have reasons to believe the ratios are flawed. Title: Re: company is engaged. Thats also inferring i do good at Language class? But on a more serious note, the math would be correct if the ratios were accurate but I still have reasons to believe the ratios are flawed. it may be taught sooner but i still have no grammer....to say the least...i dont care about language... Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Unkn0wn on May 10, 2008, 05:08:45 pm How do you intend on working anywhere if you have no interest & skill in at least your native language?
Title: Re: company is engaged. Post by: Bonte on May 10, 2008, 05:12:33 pm do you seriously have nothing better to do then look at internet threads and correct people's grammer? I mean ....get a life Unknown.
