Post by: [AB]RikiRude on June 04, 2008, 01:47:32 pm Whose vehicles do you think are more prone to getting away with that 5% health even though you've shot them 3 times since they've had 10% health? I'm guessing the chance is about even for both, but it seems like axis tanks have a higher chance of simply having their main gun destroyed rather then blowing up, but I think that may be because axis fields more armor. I don't often see it with m8s or pumas, but I often see ostwinds, p4's, and stug/hs capable of limping away with destroyed main cannons and pinging off RR's and sherman hits. i've had my share of super units, and i've gone up against them from both sides.
In fact yesterday I have a story of a vet two I believe stug that I was somehow granted the gift of insane micro with it, and had it escape RRs when it should of been destroyed (thank god for hedges messing up man packed AT all the time) I am pretty sure I have the replay, I just have to find it. But it took 3 RR shots when it was at 10% health, which only reduced it's health and destroyed it's main cannon then it reversed the hell out of there! Post your amazing vehicle survival stories. So I reversed, killed 3 Stugs and a Stuh that came at me before I got back to my own lines. I pulled it off when it had about 15% health left, and racked up 5 vehicle kills and 12 inf kills. Including a vet 3 squad and vet 3 stormies.

I have pictures, but not on this computer. Hah I guess you could say I was lucky to invent the Floating Calliope.

Post by: HaroquenX on June 05, 2008, 06:09:16 am I found out if you run a tank into the rear of a halftrack, especially Schreck Tracks which like to try and suprise your armor, you can run over everyone who gets out. It earned a Croc of mine vet 1 without even a lick of flame.
