I have it, definately an interesting game to play. It is really tough on the harder difficulty, you only generally have a split second between ordering a suspect to drop his weapon and to shoot if he fails to comply, but you are penalized if you kill him and his weapon is not pointing at you or a civilian.

Fun game to play if you like tactical, thinking mans, shooters.

The game and expansion is 20 bucks of direct2drive.com - I thought it wouldnt be worth it  but it honestly is, this game is astonishingly good considering i never heard of it coming out in 2005 - Think the new R6 if R6 had coop play through the single player campaign for 5-10 people (first game = 5 expansion = 10) and made you think before you fire.

Game is freaking great in coop, even with just 2 people

This game was always terrifying to me in a good way. I think there are some mods to make the badguys less robotic crackshots though.

Also I do not have the expansion, I don't know if that matters?

Right now we're playing the standard, I'm thinking of getting the expansion too though for added gametime later on :).
You just need patch 1.1.

We're playing v1.1, and most people dont have the expansion

although if you get the expansion, we can play with up to 10 people in a coop game split between 2 fire teams entering the maps at two different locations

and you can punch civvies :)

and use the tear gas launcher :)

So me, Deranged, Sherveen, Tymathee and Unknown all played this at some point last night - Who-all has it, is getting it, etc. and do people want to get a game together today?  Has to be before 5pm EST for me - Anyone interested?

Sorry about last night, I couldn't find my 1st CD and by the time I did I needed to get to sleep.

I am going to have a pretty good amount of free time the next few weeks before I start full time employment, so I should be able to get in some gaming then.

No worries Tym :) we were playing a hard mission considering how noob we all are

gonna be hard for me to get good at this, i mean between me paying "Just Cause" finishing Invisible War, EiR (if i can get a game) and life i think i just wasted $20 lol j/k.

Try it in single player, just did a few missions on the expansion and its alot of fun - Try the training if your having lots of trouble

Listing to GamerAndy and DerangedFerret for a few min´s - Time to get it.

We were playing it earlier and we split up in 2 teams of 2 to clear the hotel rooms, me & deranged had a breaching charge on a locked door and before we realised andy was likely on the other end of the door, I pressed the detonate button and andy got a door in his face  :D

Great fun. This game is a blast on coop.

Btw the "Info" you hand out has around 4 trojanhorses in it.

Game is great fun in Multiplayer dont forget to turn settings to max, since its lowest by default.

even to this day I belive Swat 4 has some of the best AI Ive seen in an FPS

I don't know. Sometimes they just charge at you, stopping when you can smell their breath, and then decide to shoot/surrender. Unauthorized use of deadly force ftw!

I love it when they pretend to lower their weapon and then shoot you in the face anyway =).

Yeah, But they have advanced systems like, Fear for example, If you shoot near them like just above thier heads they get scared shitless and drop thier weapons

or duck and THEN shoot you in the face.

Yeah. Raised weapon = get him down as fast as possible. My and my brother played togather, and tried to be gentle, resulting in a single guy hat hitting us both in 0,01 sec.

Also, have anyone experienced all the baddies crowding together in one room? In that nightclub lvl, I found 5 guys who seemingly were group hugging or something, what a slaugther  ;D

follow this guide:

Flash bang/ stinger the room and scream at the guys (compliance command). Did that work?

If NO then: pepper spray them or tazer them. Did that work?

If NO then: punch them a little (by this time you should be pretty close to them).


also always mirror a room before you enter, if there is ANYONE in the room it is best to enter with some sort of ordnance be that flash, stinger, CS or door charge. Also no one will condemn you for shooting an x-ray who is acting even slightly aggressive towards your or a hostage, basically : (as said before) Gun raised = shoot.   

You shoud see us under Andys leet, we finished the gen-research mission with a fucking perfect and only 1 plenety that we got for a guy that killed me in the round before, so we arrested and restained him, then i started punching him in the face and evryone else joined in and we gang-bunched the guy to death.

Shoud teach him a leason!

1 day me and Thtb started punching Fairfax (The fat guy who killed girls) to death and another game Hawkeye put a c4 on the door and some idiot was on the other side. The door blew open and knocked the guy halfway across the room.
