Title: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 23, 2009, 09:27:12 am The server migration has been completed. Please be aware that their could be issues for up to 24 hours while the DNS change propagates through the internet.
Please also be aware that while we tried to test everything on the new server to ensure there would be no issue, we can't guarantee that fact. If you experience any issues with the site, war control panel, or battles being reported, please let us know ASAP. Also, the new no attachment / hosted avatars is in effect. I'll try to integrate a free hosting service for attachments as soon as possible. Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: chefarzt2 on January 23, 2009, 09:57:13 am The units in war cp got no pics for me.
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 23, 2009, 10:05:04 am They should be fixed shortly. DNS issue.
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: gungun on January 23, 2009, 10:13:33 am http://65.75.242.143/ works
but not europeinruins.com Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 23, 2009, 10:14:19 am europeinruins.com will not work until the DNS finishes propagating.
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: gungun on January 23, 2009, 10:14:47 am The units in war cp got no pics for me. same goes for doctrinesTitle: Re: Server Migration Post by: chefarzt2 on January 23, 2009, 10:18:11 am Well my doctrines never had pics. ;D
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: gungun on January 23, 2009, 10:26:39 am Well my doctrines never had pics. ;D cause im running eir pimped v2.3 ;) Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: FingerTrapped2 on January 23, 2009, 11:03:29 am http://65.75.242.143/index.php
I can access this EiR site, and I can log in to launcher. My company names or resupplies do not update though. Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: o4b on January 23, 2009, 11:54:18 am I just played a game with xsGoliath, quackduck and someone else. It appears as though the game was never played. is 65.75.242.143 the old ip or the new one?
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 23, 2009, 12:16:52 pm Old IP. I'm really sorry about the issue, I tried to do it at a least inconvenient time. The game will mostly likely have to be abandoned as the report probably got lost.
Its best to only play games when you can access http://www.europeinruins.com successfully. Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: o4b on January 23, 2009, 01:57:36 pm I don't understand - if the 65.75 ip was the old one, why wouldn't it say the server is down for matinence? I am accessing this forum through that IP, so I figure that this is the new server.
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 23, 2009, 02:10:44 pm I was confused. It is the new IP. :P
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: CrazyWR on January 23, 2009, 02:16:13 pm I'm getting the same error when I try to log into the launcher as EliteGren
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 23, 2009, 02:18:23 pm Are you able to access the site on europeinruins.com? If not, then that's why. The new IP is the 65.75.x.x one. However it'll take awhile before your ISP redirects europeinruins.com to it. Once that happens, the launcher 'SHOULD' work... but maybe something is screwed up.
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: chefarzt on January 23, 2009, 02:19:58 pm Well i think its screwed. I can acces the site but the launcher gives me error code 3 whatever.
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: gungun on January 23, 2009, 02:21:32 pm can access site , cant launcher
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 23, 2009, 02:25:42 pm Ok, there was a permissions problem. Can you try again?

Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: CrazyWR on January 23, 2009, 02:43:41 pm Are you able to access the site on europeinruins.com? If not, then that's why. The new IP is the 65.75.x.x one. However it'll take awhile before your ISP redirects europeinruins.com to it. Once that happens, the launcher 'SHOULD' work... but maybe something is screwed up. Gotcha, ok. Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: Trbaneblade on January 23, 2009, 10:18:59 pm Error Code seven
Ahh painfull :P I dont feel so bad tho because I know everyone's going thru the same difficulty Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: fldash on January 24, 2009, 01:35:35 pm Server has gotten a bit more stable. It's still not running as smooth as we'd like, I think we took advantage of our last host (which explains why they wanted to get rid of us)...
Title: Re: Server Migration Post by: Draken on January 24, 2009, 01:56:33 pm Probably abandon system is also fucked up, both teams abandoned the game but it still says "abandoning"
