While perhaps not the quality of some of the more well known Shoutcasters in the Company of Heroes community, stumpster, has been graciously enough to give us his first attempt...

This is just a small update on 2.0 development...   It's going quite well, several hurdles have been overcome that were slowing down the process quite a bit.  I've had to add some rules that run constantly, I'm hopeful they don't make Europe In Ruins unplayable on some of the lower end PCs.  These rules are necessary in order to facilitate some of the new functionality of the new races.  I'm really glad that you guys are continuing to play the current version and war iteration despite knowing 2.0 will be out, hopefully sooner than later.

In addition, I'm very glad to see new players joining the community.  I hope that they will enjoy their stay, post any issues they have, and stick around for 2.0.  And just to keep you occupied, feel free to talk about the following image which is an early version of the Macromedia Flash War Map...

I've just performed a staffing re-alignment.  Basically the balance team positions have been eliminated.  Balance will derive completely from the community.  That means you are responsible for making posts, demonstrating the imbalances, and backing up your findings.  I want to thank Unkn0wn, Apex, and Lai for their great contributions to the modification.  In addition, naradaman and Forefall have had their developer status removed mainly due to inactivity.  I hope this doesn't result in any bad blood between any of us, though I can certainly understand if they feel their work was in vain and they feel it's time to move on to something else.
