So over the past 3 days the East coast of NSW Australia has been hit by some of the heaviest rain, and strongest winds on record.

Ive been bunkered down in my house experiencing cyclonic winds in a house not rated for cyclonic weather lol.

Trees have come down all over the place and crushed cars, houses etc.

We copped 100km/h winds with gusts upto 130km/h and over 300mm of rain in 24 hours

Its absolute chaos.

Heres some links to show you guys the thunder downunder

Time for me to set up a division in Australia. I could cash in large on rebuilding that shit!!!

But seriously, I hope all works out for you. Kind of scary living in those types of weather conditions.

Hope you stay safe bradda across the water.

The worst I've got is a recent 5.1 earthquake a few KM's away and it woke me up. Not really getting any adverse weather effects from your storms either, it's just getting colder.

Worst is over man, now comes the clean up.

Really, what was the big one that hit Christchurch something in the 7's yeh ?

We've had 2 recorded tremors near where i live but they were only 2.5 and 2.6.

Its to be expected in the Hunter Valley tho, we've mined 100's of kilometers of coal over the last 2 centuries lol.

It was a few years ago, something like 3 or 4 years. It 7 or above.

Gotten increasingly more and more earthquakes after the first one. We got a 6.1 yesterday, hopefully christchurdch doesn't get hit again, they've only just cleaned up the wreckage from the last one.

Yeah 4 years later and they have only just cleaned the wreckage. John key for ya

How does m/s change anything

Those wind speeds are typically associated with a Catagory 2 tropical cyclone mate.

Grab an atlas and find Australia, then find NSW then find the eastcoast then find Sydney, then head slightly north and find Newcastle.

Then realise how far below the tropics it is. then understand that many of the houses in the area were built in the 1900s long before any thought of wind resistance standards.

Then theres the flooding.
