To the Community In General,

As you are all aware we recently have undergone a number of attacks against our community. These where an attempt to de-stabilise  and break down all the hard work the dev team have put in as well as the faith and commitment that the community has showed in us. They have come in many forms, styles from different perpetrators and they have all failed; and will continue to fail.

Yes we have had to change up the way we do things in terms of Ventrillo but the one thing I take from all this is how great the community here is.

You guys were so understanding when I had to lock Vent down, and all the great comments I've got from members about what we are doing is heart warming.

Its been a crap weekend, I definitely did not enjoy this aspect of the weekend but as always I'm here answering questions and quietly working on the artwork (trust me some very cool stuff for doctrines is on the way).

We as a Development Team know how much you love the mod, probably as much as we do, who are committing time and effort to make this happen.  Every single one of us who stood up and joined EIR came with the desire to make a unique gaming experience.  With over 1200 profiles made in the launcher we know we done a few things right! Additionally the community input and passion has been as consistent as ever and is a valuable source of consideration for all dev members so keep it up.

We know there are bugs and we know there is allot of work to do, but we also know that with your support and continued understanding we can take what we have done in 4 months now and build on the legacy that FLdash, Ucorss and the others who started this journey nearly 2 years ago.

I recommend that we as a gaming group don’t tar another mod for the actions of their members. They have as much control over their community as we do, so while they come from OMG they don't represent OMG, of which I'm sure OMG devs would be very willing to agree, and condemn such actions;  I'm also sure they would not wish to suffer the same events.

But most critically we keep our eye on OUR  goal and not let such distraction get in the way.  A fully persistent game with a functioning campaign system, packaged in a stand alone interface.

One thing I would ask and will make a post about at a later date is those who would like to support us more than just through Gaming, Please donate when you can.

We are looking to upgrade services and we have budgeted but any assistance would be very very appreciated and not forgotten down the track.

Most will know of my grumblings and so on in vent, but this is all i have to say on the matter publicly, you guys rock and are one of the key reasons we keep working on the mod.

Best Regards

Nevyen

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I'm glad to be part of this community because it's so strong and everyone in general tries to help each other and the mod out. I just have really great luck being part of the PR community for so long, and then coming to this community which is just as strong.

Now if only I had enough free time to lend my artistic skills to the mod =/

Thanks for this comment Nev, with everything that has happened this past weekend (yay 4chan tards for attacking both of the Vent servers and forcing us all to go to registered users) it has been a learning experience for us too.  And, yes, we do comdemn the actions of all members of the community that were involved across the board.
In the words of Barney...(sorry for you across the ponders that may not know what this purple freak is...)

I love you, you love me, we're one big happy family...

Best of luck to you guys with the forthcoming release of the new stuff.  On behalf of the entire OMG Dev Team.
