Does this map work without needing modification to the EiR module by notepad?

Yes, its in the French Countryside SGA file, you can actually put however many maps into 1 SGA that you want.

Also, like i said while we were pla ying last night, you need to orient the map more the long way and not just because it looks weird. From playing last night a lot of fights were focued on just a few areas and there were lots of 1 v 1 fights and it was difficult to try and help the other team. I like the trees and the hills and stuff, espeically cool that you could put mg's and at guns in the forest and get green cover Cheesy.

but seriously, turn the map the other way. If you're going to leave the minimum number of houses that you have, add some craters for cover and random wire and stuff, make it look like a battlefield not like i'm waltzing into yellowstone national park.

Why would it look like a battlefield before you fight? Your team failed because you concentrated all your efforts in pushing down the road. I got so bored on my flank that I packed it all up and came over to fight you, AFTER backcapping 1/3 of your sectors.

I am going to place natural cover though, things like depressions and ridges that you can use for cover in the "open" areas.

Dude. We were on the same team, i'm tymathee silly...

and i'm just saying, it'd be nice to have some effects, some destroyed stuff, craters, etc to give it some personality. It's just plain right now. There's a war going on and this place looks totally untouched. Where is this supposed to be an yway, just a random forrest?

How did the modular, wargame-inspired design work out?  If you don't want craters, you can do a lot of cover with the heavy ditches splines.  Put them in short (3-5 segment) groups and add some shrubs and you can get some natural-looking green cover.

It actually plays out well, most of the trouble for people seems to be thinking of it as a wide map, getting confused about coming in on the wide sides instead of the ends of the map. Definately need to go through and add some light cover to the open areas, some more details and so on, but I think the sectors work well forcing you to pick junctions of 2-4 sectors to defend on or around OR to keep a mobile reserve to counter attack and take sectors on the flanks.

it was fun, i've played it twice. It's really easy to use artillery on the map, especially allies, i've yet to play an axis player who used any artillery though

The only thing that annoys me about it is how my teammates are on the other side of the map and are all, "WTF WHY AREN'T YOU HELPING ME?!" and by the time I get to them they're already turned into OMGBBQ.

Meanwhile, I've left the flank open to come to their aid and now backcappers are having their fun when I hit with a face full of, "WHY CAN'T YOU HOLD YOUR SIDE?"

I lost a vet 2 walking stuka on it  Cry

But lower range than the Allies and the openness of the map Axis need to be more conservative when moving their arty around.

After play the map, I must say that you should definitely add more cover to the lowlands. It might be just a bit too big for a 3v3 map, through that just my opinion.

Also People on this map are still stuck on the "Attack-along-the-road" and "Take the Houses!" Mentality.

I think the map succeed in the tactical aspect. More cover would be nice tho.
Also the flanks, i feel the map doent need to be so wide for a 3v3.
I mean you fight on the hills anyway. You dont have to spread it all that much.
