As soon as I try to start the updater it immediately crashes after poping up. Prior to this I keep being told I had the updater in the wrong directory even though I had put it in every concievable location. After a reinstall yesterday it seemed to work but today it keeps crashing as aforementioned. HELP!

My autoupdater crashes too, I can bypass it and run launcher but sometimes also crashes.

same for both (updater crashes instantly and launcher crashes when I go to battle), also my AVG is picking up the updater as a threat, which it wasn't before.

The Auto Updater as the thread title indicates is crashing. The "Send error report to microsoft" or whatever sort of crashing. And no, the trouble shoot thread doesn't even reference this in passing.

No idea what's up with the launcher, Che will have to look at it. Only things I can recommend is make sure COH/Launcher are closed, that it has Firewall access, is ignored by Virus Scan since it can't be detected as a trojan since it access the internet, and you are running it as an administrator.

Well the launcher can't start so that is no problem. I turned off my firewall because I thought that may have been the cause before even posting here (spoiler alert: it didn't work.) And I am on the one and only account for the computer and therefore administrator as well.

I am calm, I just don't like people that don't read anything except the last post in a thread before replying. This isn't IMing you DO have time to think before you speak. I've got all day after all.
And I'm reasonably certain that the auto-updater has worked before since I've gotten to the launcher thing and have created a company, etc. since reinstalling. Its just today now the bloody thing crashes as fast as I can press the EIRR button. Oh, and I HAVE tried running it directly from the directory instead of from a short cut with the same results.
