Laptop advice.

Hey guys, sorry to all who I have crashed on recently my current laptop seems to be nearing the end of its life and im currently looking for a replacement.
I just finished checking out Alienware, and reading some reiews and such and I got the overall impression that it wasnt worth the $$ involved tbh, can anyone confirm or deny this?
I kind of want to stay away from HP, my current laptop is HP and its had heat issues ( just gets really hot to touch) from day one.
What are the best brands of latops and such that people know of? this will help me narrow down my research greatly.
Just so people know by budget is between $1000-1500 USD.
Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

If you can get proper cooling for your AW, it's a good buy. Do some searches for 'ultimate gaming laptop', should help you find. Just always ask about the cooling, because 99% of the time with laptops cooling is a issue.

IMO have a look at Asus laptops, N (or X) or G series...got a X77 and never had cooling issues. Moreover it's really worth the price (bought mine around 1000 euros)....the G ones seem to be very good, though more expensive. If you can't afford a G one, N or X series are good enough...
I'm quite sure some others may disagree...as I said, it's just my opinion..

i would recommend an asus NB too
one of my notebooks is an asus K50 AB with 4GB ram and A64 dual core and Ati HD4570 dedicated GPU and it was a decent quality for acceptable price and is capable to run coh smooth
i would look out for an asus notebooks with intel core i3 or i5 dual core and dedicated ATI GPU
but it would be difficult to get some non glare display notebooks nowadays in case u want to use it outside often

I have known AW to screw people in both the laptop and desktop. Your HP isn't reaching the end of its life though, most HP's heat up like that, just spend 20 bucks on a decent cooling pad and smile.
