Another important thing, why does each faction have to have the same things? The PE have the scout car, and with an upgrade that is purchased, gets an mg that has suppression. I dont see a problem here. What i do see is the players who dislike not thinking it through enough to say, "hey, maybe i need to change my tactics when dealing with this unit." Its not a tank, so it easily goes down to atg fire. Yes, its on a mobile platform, it can cap territory, and when locked down, gets a better mg. But, it cant lock down instantly, it has a setup time (or should, say 2 or 3 sec) and by that time the inf should be far enough away if it is running them down. Its something the PE need, so fix the bug with it, and lets go from there.

Theory crafting and single accounts are not enough valid evidence for this. Now, tomorrow I will post numbers for all this for you, as this will give an accurate depiction of things.
The modifiers were constantly adding up upon lock-down, and not removing themselves on unlock. Every time.
-snip-
This is based entirely on the fact that vCoH has a certain ability(which we don't) which supposedly should take away the modifiers, when it in fact does not achieve this, only applying a further 1x modifier to the modifiers already applied(meaning they're kept at what they were after setting up).
-snip-
Which is different to what I said how?
Perhaps 'adding-up' needs replaced with 'remains on unlock'.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

The scout car lockdown abilities are the only abilities in coh that I know of that uses the permanent state in the actions. Check it yourself.

I think it should only be able to set up on friendly territory, that way it won't be overpowered.
it can't be OP because like an mg squad you have to set up. if a quad car get close to you you should be able to see him setting up then you move your troops out of range on into green cover. we dont have the ability to retreat our crew and have another recrew a scout car. when we lose that car we lose our support. PE infantry are already Nerfed the hell out.
Not being recrewable is an advantage, not a disadvantage.
If an MG get decrewed, the enemy can just force attack it or recrew it themselves. The scout car is massively tougher, so things that would normally decrew the MG won't kill the scout car.
Why would you want to retreat the crew of an MG anyways? How many vetted MGs did you think is on the leaderboard?

i had a vet 3 mg. and it was because i retreated them before they got wiped.

There is only one vet 2 HMG in the entire game, it's an MG42 with 20 xp.
All other MGs are vet 1 or lower.
So no, your argument that being able to recrew is an advantage is not valid.

If the scout car can garrison it would be better than the MG42 in all aspects. Not being able to be recrewed is an advantage, because anything that will kill a scout car will also destroy the MG gun easilly.
This is like the marder vs ATG debate we had a long time ago. If the two had the same stats, the marder would be superior in every way.

Actually, the things just reset, of course there are only a few vetted HMG's on the leaderboard, but tbh, I had in one month 3 times aMG42 up to vet 2, once to vet 3.
Allied: 2 HMG's vet 2.
Believe me, they are epic rape when vetted.

i like the hmg upgrade on the scout car, keeps with the flow of PE being the most mobile faction but having a achillies heel.
If a noob asked me should they put it in their company i would say no dead straight.
A pointless waste of munitions and manpower. Like infantry half tracks.

It's different in this way :
You say there's a bug
I say there isn't, because the entire notion of it is based on a false positive

What exactly do you mean by that?
If you mean toggle-able abilities, then there's also : Marder Lock Down, P4 IST Lock Down.

i used to have 3 vet 2 hmgs, maybe i should bring that company back and show how good allies hmg's are again.
