You are not going to be paying SPs for the new vet, you don't do currently either. You will gain all vet levels ingame in the future

Imo vet changes should be known, it's not something like new units or new maps that would spoil the fun of knowing them beforehand etc , it's just a game mechanic change.

I doubt it, it would still take 4 games (theoretically) I assume. It's just when I used to play, you had to spend SP on your units to have them get vet, I thought that was a process they were keeping, but waiting for when the warmap and stuff was in.

Are you saying I can go from Vet 0 to vet 2 on a schrimwaggen in one game said I killed enough infantry?

Or are you also implying non persistant vet as in vet is alot easier to gain but it doesnt save?

Requirements will be alot higher for every level. You can get a jagd to vet 3 if you kill 20 tanks or something.

currently requires 267 exp or 27 tanks ;P.

i'm just trying to clarify dude, not just for me but for all, so if someone asks in the future, it's easy to find or for whatever reason. Stating something directly like "No, there wont be anymore buying of vet" is sooo easy to say, dont get an attitude with me cuz ur pissed at ampm

You take 0 XP unit into battle. It hits vets 3 at 50. You kill 50 riflemen and hit vet 3 in game.

No more spending SP in launcher. No more going into battle 1 XP off a threshold and having the unit kill 50 things only to gain 1 XP.

You will vet and gain the bonuses in game as the unit gains experience. Your enemy will see you hit Vet 3 on that Pershing as his Tiger explodes

and i disagree with ampm, i could care less if i see it or not, i tend to check the rgd's anyway for the vet levels just to be sure. I like the old mystery effect as well, it made it more exciting.

So, question. With 5 vet levels and with GF saying that it takes more XP to vet up, are the bonuses going to be better? like instead of say 15% acc, you get 25% acc now?

In short... No. Most of the rough drafts we've gone over tend to keep similar values to what we currently have. Somethings will be different and on the whole the drafts are certainly more diverse.

We want veterancy this time to be done properly. In previous incarnations we've made mistakes by applying useless buffs to niche units and blanketing everything similarly. When our new values go in each unit should see an appropriate benefit

sounds good, i like that, used to be that way and it's kinda annoying to see so many mirror buffs. there are also so many other stats you can add into veterancy as well. scatter angle, aim time, set up time (for mortars, atgs, hmgs, etc) added suppression, multipliers, AOE, search radius. would love to see more diversity like that.
