Im currently playing wehr terror doct, and i have falls reinforcements so i get the infantry halftracks for use. One odd thing i have noted recently is that when i learned how to put infantry inside the halftrack right in the start, something odd happened.

Its not a miracle that halftracks just dont last too long (to be honest, they almost always die) so when ht gets smashed, i either continue the fight with my remaining units, or retreat if badly damaged.

Anyway, few days ago i have noted something realy weird. Its my halftrack.. It seems that it remains in my battalion with its xp even if it gets destroyed! Its not that big deal but.. Imba vet 3 ht's rolling on the field and never disapearing would suck..

I think the problem lies beneath the infantry that you set inside. My only theory for this thing to happen is that the infantry set inside "get tied to the halftrack" meaning its only "one unit", which means that whenever i retreat my units inside the halftrack, my halftrack counts as it had been retreated, actualy its smashed and is a pile of junk somewhere in the bocage.

As said, not a big deal but thought it would be worthy to be posted

If you assign infantry to them they resurrect for free, which is an odd bug.
The downside is that they cant get any xp though.

I don't think you can exploit it. It never leaves so you can never oversupply.
Also if you get xp on it then it doesn't come back so its got no downsides or abusiveness whatsoever.
