Hi,
I was wondering if the defender could place 88's/bunkers/land mines/wire/sandbags ect.... and if these defences would remain there after the game ended?

If they buy 88's, bunkers, and mines they can certainly place them.  Wire, sandbags, and tank traps will of course be free.

We are working on a way to save the map state, including the position of all the defenses in case the battle lasts longer than one turn.  However this is still in a very experimental phase and most likely won't be implemented for a while.

:x

Its really going to be hard to attack by the looks of things, and that makes it all the better  Grin

Anyways, will defenders know where the enemy is coming from? Because I don't want a battle to end up like the third campain mission in coh were they die the moment they come off map :x

That would really suck in Europe in Ruins if my entire assault force gets wiped out before they can even enter the map >_>

The defending teams will NOT be allowed to advance beyond an initial territory marking to keep them from 'camping' the offmap positions.

Is there any way to pull off a raid or sneak attack, besides both teams advancing at the same time?

You'd have to go into more detail.

Like, using the current style of gameplay, every single time a company advances into enemy-held territory, and if an enemy company is already located in the said territory, the enemy company will always have a couple minutes to prepare defenses. What I am asking is whether or not it will be possible to pull off an attack where the defending team has no time to set up defenses (this is what I likened to a raid).

could add an extra munition cost to the price to set the raid up and to get the men ready quickly.

This is something we might implement in the beta with the other ideas like movement speed for companies and such.   It's a great idea though.  Just have to try to keep it simple for the alpha Smiley  Keep the ideas coming though Smiley
