I've heard of two occasions when the launcher froze during a process. Don't know it was while updating or verifying. As I recall, the problem was circumvented both time by installing manually.

Mine rutinley freezes, I just have to close and try again. Sometimes a dozen times or more. |

Anyway... I'll try to reproduce your errors... It freezes at any moment in general (startup, when trying to get battles, ..) or just randomly?

 I've had it delay at 'reading response' but thats an issue with the server being slow I imagine... |

I've put in some sleep commands in all the critical loops that should make it a little less CPU intensive while waiting for a response from the server.
I'll release the new one once I confirm the new shit with FL-, but unless you have a very old version theres no new fixes for freezes. And a couple more possibilities for them=)

Hello i'm new to Europe in ruins. Every time i click EIR launcher it pops up with Error: 5 Error 20. What does it mean?
I think that means you have a firewall that's not letting it get the information from the server properly. Even though a connection is made, no data is received. I was also wondering if it is normal that i cant login with the launcher. I put my username (Snake) then my password but it just sayd bad login all the time : /
I hope that it is not normal. I'll look at that code a little more, see if any special characters in passwords can create these problems. |

Thats a Connectioin Timeout problem, most likely caused by a firewall.

Yea, using vista, turned off the firewall....still get the same error as before. Any way to manually download the files??

The 4/10060 error which means connect() failed with WSAETIMEDOUT.
Maybe one of those new security measures does not allow "unsafe" software to connect to the internet :/ I'm starting to wish I was making this for linux...

what about Error Type 4 and Error Code 0?. Can anybody give me a link to download all the past Europe in Ruins files?. I think I suppose to download them and than apply the 1.7. :p
