You keep on removing it for no reason, when we actively made an attempt to make this map work.

The redone version got 19 plays before you axed it again. It was in for like 2 months. It will never get plays if you keep on removing it.

Removing it now just smacks of personal dislike as opposed to map flaws. Everything that was stated wrong with the design was fixed.

19 plays in 2 months is underwhelming for a new map, imo the map size just makes it unenjoyable.

I dont see WHY in a age of broadband where people download gigabytes of porn and torrents every day, with tons of donations coming out EIRR's A$$, EIRR has to limit itself to maps that this humourless bureacrat named Unknown likes personally.

And don't give me that lamo crap about "quality of maps" because the quality more than anything else in question is the amount of available maps. You should limit yourself to testing maps for whether they work, and if it works it should be added to lancher. I doubt you have any special ability to appreciate map design more than the next dude in launcher.

It's just idiotic, the ideal would be to have all playable maps that do not crash and is "working" in the launcher to help people to play a variable number of maps. The current map selection has become extremely bland and stale.

I remember a really fun 4v4 map, with huge city in the middle (almost like a citadel or giant church) and these huge open flanks.


Was really fun to play that map.


I agree with smokaz.

I do not see the point with taking away working maps... doesnt make any sense

I think some map rotation would be a better idea. Every month take out the 8 least played maps and put in any new ones.

After about 3 months, start putting the removed ones back in. If they don't get played enough, they come back out.

This would make room for new maps while getting rid of the ones that don't get played.

There has been talk of creating incentives to play certain maps, but by the time that is actually implemented EiRRMod's grandchildren will be running the mod.

Im with smokaz as well.

We dont improve our product by repressing the creative end of map making, which means you need to give the mappers freedom to experiment.

Humans are prone to familiarity. The only reason why 4-6 maps here have a tremendous amount of plays is because they are familiar.

Take them away and 6 other maps will take their place.

And Dnice, I believe that was Winds map. many people liked it, but he wouldnt conform it to EIRR standards... it was pretty much they wanted wind to make the city part less detailed (it strained most peoples computers) and he refused, artistic integrity! At least I think that's what happened. It was an amazing map, and looked fantastic.

does anyone remember a map, it was either 3v3 or 2v2, had a big church in the middle, had a row of buildings to the north of it, past the buildings was a field and there was forest on the left. the entire right side was a lot of wooded area with fields near it. it had long roads that had rows of buildings along the roads. man i wish i could remember what that map was called. it was from a time when we had repair bunkers.
