Ok I've looked over the forums and I can't seem to find my one big question....

How are you guys getting ths maps and stuff to work with a web based program? In other words how do we get our units on the map with resources? Are the maps all pre-made by someone with our units added and such or have you guys found a way to get this to work? Please explain! Smiley

it would be too harc to convert each map to have the units you choose before every map so they must have found a way to make it give the units you have at the start of the battle.

Using some SCAR wizardy  Grin

SCAR let's you do all kinds of funky stuff to Relic's games, it's what makes this mod possible.

We're basically generating the SCAR with PHP, taking all of the information out of a database.

Your units will be spawned via a SCAR script that will be compressed into .SGA format all via PHP.  You will download this .SGA file and stick it in your /Company of Heroes/EuropeInRuins/Archives folder.

Relic did not help us with the PHP SGA creator.  We looked at the source for Corsix's Mod Studio for reference since it's open source.

We've had no special help. We have access to all the same resources as everyone else. Fl- just had the smarts and the perseverance to go for it. I'm quite proud of that.  Smiley

Yes, Relic was sent our design document before we started.  They said, "good luck".  Wink
