Just had a thought yesterday about making the 76mm Sherman a separate unit just like the upgun puma so you can balance it separate from the 75mm. Right now it's 395 mu 240 fu with 60 mu for the upgun. If you make it a separate unit, you can do away with the munitions price and make it like 450 mu and 300 fuel and maybe even up the pop and pool cost.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

we've talked about this a lot, it just never really goes through.

if the upgun costs more fuel then you have more muni based AT but allies only have stickies, so muni is kinda good use there

You know....there is no reason to do this.

A) They could add fuel and manpower cost to the upgrade if they wanted to.

B) It's not worth extra pool or pop, and the regular sherman doesn't need to cost less.

it doesn't seems necessary. The only thing the 76mm sherman is really good against is the pziv. The dps is the same so it's not any better against light vehicle or infantry. Against the heavies the sherman will still get its ass kicked. It's not cheap, spammable, or crazy fast like the m10.

If m10 or RR weren't so good I would say 76mm would need a buff. As it is well now I think the 76mm is fine.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

Not sure if it needs buff or nerf, Tym, but I think I like the idea. It doesn't fit into the ATG/sticky/RR category, so muni cost seems a bit out of the ordinary. I'm not sure it's important enough for a consensus though.

One of the original reasons it was moved from fuel to ammo is that there are next to no other FUEL costing upgrades.   Also it hindered the armor players ability to field more vehicles, each upgraded gun cost you a light vehicle... instead of an AT gun.

so the basic general idea was to take away from teh manpacked AT /at guns and add the ability to field more tanks or light vehicles through not costing fuel.

meh?  who's to say the light vehicle spam got worse because of it or not.. tungsten tipping usually meant most armor players wouldn't upgrade anyways.
