Funny battle.  Axis defend v. 4 howitzer spam...  EPIC charge to kill them.

First time = Solo StuH
Second time = Officer StuH
Third time = 2 Panther 1 Tiger 1 Stug CHARGE!!!!!

Battle is 474

Lesson... Don't Turtle in the new system when you are supposed to be attacking.

EDIT: my infantry like to jerk off on the flank Tongue

FLDASH,

Please watch this battle, 30 minutes into it after we had held the majority of the territories the whole game they still have 37 to our 40 pop cap... is this how it's supposed to work?

If so the penalty is fail... and it doesn't make them push all that hard.

The best part is when they ask me where I got the Tiger =) Yes, the 0 vet Tiger is definately the product of XP farming.

I just watched this battle... You only had a little over half the map which is why you never got a significant popcap advantage.  It's based on % of the sectors you owned.  You had 13 sectors, and they had like 10.  That's 55% and 45% respectively.

And this makes either side push how?

So i guess every time we play defensive we should just push out to the middle, turtle down and wait an hour.  And every time we attack we should just push out to the middle... wait for the 37 pop cap and them push with 2 panthers 1 tiger 1 stug.

Lets say we push to like %25-%75 so we are way up on pop... by that time i we control most of the map the battle is already over!  At least with CP there was a timer that made you feel like you really needed to take territory.

If you had pushed, you would have got more pop cap, taken away their pop cap and boxed them out of the game.

If you are at 40 popcap, any popcap you gain by holding territory is subtracted from the opponent.  If the opponent is at 25 popcap, that popcap is added to yours.  In one game on St Hillaire, we couldn't push out and near the end of the game we had 25 popcap and the opponent had 46.

I would argue that by that time the game was over anyway.  What is the intent of the new system?  To force more action early mid or late game?

To force action the whole game...

The game wasn't over... We were pushing out, got up to 28 popcap, but they pushed us back and we started dropping.  Popcap available does grow through out the game but it's important to hold as much territory as you can constantly.
