With the release of 0.8.12-Beta, the beta is no longer applicable and we are now fully fledged (apart from the remaining 2 doctrines) into 0.8.0.
To recap, this phase will contain:
Launcher / Server
-XP/PP/SP system overhaul
-Reporting system enhancement
-Warmap beta integration
RGDs
-Doctrine completion (carryover from 0.7.0)
-Doctrine fixes / balance
-Bugfixes
-Reward unit / Cross faction reward introduction
The XP/PP/SP system overhaul will be all about the grind.
It was never intended to be such a slog, and thus - I have played around with various solutions and have come up with a grindless environment.
A total of XP and PP will be given per turn (set for 'per day' for now) and increases to the point that at 2/3rds time into our war - everyone would reach a maxed out state (Full T4 etc)
As an example, lets say our 'Wars' are set to last ~6 weeks per scenario.
At the 4 week point, the totals will be enough to purchase all doctrines and unlocks + advantages.
This removes the grind, but still offers customisation gradually.
Now, this imo removes a fair bit of persistence, and we will shift other systems over in this way:
* SPs for vet now becomes a capped amount (say, a warmap rank 0 has 6 SP total - constantly coming back if they lose a vet unit)
*SPs for offmaps move to a Supply system based on the warmap status (Low/0 for No supply line, Higher for Oversupplied)
Each battle will contribute towards a commander rank (warmap) instead, and reward you with abilities that you can spend (similar to rewards) with rarity / power depending on the skill of the teammates.
Moving to this system will also allow us to cater Training advantages by SKILL rather than by rank - which has proven to be a dubious measure so far.

On the currently proposed system, a person who plays more - would be more likely to recieve some of the rarer cards / abilities.

Your company recieves additional SP to spend on offmaps and support for the next 5 games.
(Based on offmaps unlocked, and gives some generic ones)
Commander
Common:

Ability:
Your company recieves a veterancy boost to every game where the commander (2 pop, officer like stats) is called on in the first call-in. (XP boost dependant on Rarity, and lasts until dead)
Reinforcements
Common:

Uncommon:
"Reinforcements needed urgently!"
Rare:
"HAAAAAALP!"
Ability:
This ability allows you to purchase a reinforcement unit at your sector - using the normal CP (Command Point) costs.
Rarity will reduce times till arrival (Normal, -1 turn, -2 turns) from a supply location. (Note, reinforcements take 1-5 turns depending on distance)So, while this new system will take away PP and XP gain per battle, it will move certain benefits over to the warmap.
I believe there will need to be a cap for newer companies coming in, as we found that 'insta' T4 accounts were VERY detrimental to the gameplay.
Thus, A base account will gain 10% of the totals per game, so at the very least, a player must complete 10 games to gain a full account.
