Map will be playable tomorrow.
Below are some screens.
Map is a mix of neuville and nuenen, less open field compared to neuville, but more buildings in depth as in nuenen.
Buildings are good cover, but there is heavy cover all around so you can always counter something in buildings and fight against it.
Houses leave enough room in between to put your forces or move around.
There are also some trenches (4, one for each player) near the middle where you can make a defensive position or a fallback postion.
On the sides of the map you can see the town is surrounded by a forest, you can scroll over it but cannot move or drop units in there.
The map therefor is named Forest.
Many of the big groves have been deleted and replaced with trees and some open areas, to prevent possible lag as someone (8thrifle) in this topic suggested.
Camera view is from top to bottom (think McGs war 2v2 vcoh map), instead of left to right style, see the first screen I posted in the OP, thats the way you look at it ingame.
Thanks goes out to Keeps for testing with me, loading screen and stuff.

Pics are now also in the OP.

I've had two games on it so far and must say I really like it. I'm playing on a total load of crap laptop and got no issues from it with lag. The narrow corridor that the forest creates makes for fast passed full on combat.

I personally haven't noticed any issues with pathing yet, well nothing more than normal. I did notice that players from the north seem to make it to the church in the centre first, but that's not really a problem because the south side has plenty of cover.

Did you ensure all forests have movement blockers? Else paradroppable units may drift into it.

+1

I think I was in that game with Escforreality, and if memory serves, it was one of the most fun games i've had yet. I thought the map was awesome tbh, and even though it seems like a very narrow map, there is still a little room on the East and West for flanking.

I'll definitely be playing on it again.  Wink

I wish maps these days had some edge to them. nowadays its just the same style, like yours. it gets rather boring.

It's a really good map, I like it. Very tired of Neuville so this is nice.

Ye I did.
For some reason you can see them on the MINIMAP, as dark spots, its not a problem as it just looks like a big forest. In reality tho it should have some open spaces.

dl for devs: http://www.gamefront.com/files/20418971/4p_forest.sga

I reworked the map a bit, mostly small changes to improve pathing, moving around, also made roads a bit smaller, removed 1 road on the left mid, replaced some houses for better movement around them, flanks are bit more open for better flanking actions, north west side replaced the trench with the house for better usage, added some hedges there, on the right in the north removed 1 road so its better to move around for the northern players, also opened the area up for better flanking and movement, overall it should be pretty good, be sure to try it out.

Here 2 screenshots of the most obvious changes.
