Hulldown is not working for it, neither does it receive buffs ( range , rof) from cromwell command tank. Also, not sure if ablative works for it. Please check it out. Thanks!

Command tanks do not buff american units, nor do british officers to a full extent, this is intentional.

Regarding the CCT, whats the point in benefiting some cross faction units from some doc unlocks / buffs, while others do not receive the same treatment?

Hulldown, I cannot say for sure, I think it was casuing some glitches with the model and was removed, even if the animation doesn't work the buff should still apply if the tank is getting locked in place.[/quote]

Because a command tank super pershing would be utterly silly, or command tank sluggers for that matter. Or hell, luitenant marines.

It simply can't be balanced without toning down said officers significantly.

We need to streamline this. I go into a game expecting a officer to affect my reward unit.. and it does. I go into a game expecting CCT to buff my super pershing.. or my M3 lee (more to your liking? Tongue)..

Without the intention of creating more work for you nikomas. You are doing a great job and I am looking forward to the next patch

This is also Mysthalin's job. Part of balance is design, part of design is balance even if a "design dev" overrides the former..

And the system should be intuitive (command tank, buffs tanks)

I'm not saying that it makes a lot of sense, but the crossfaction reward units created a LOT of issues that are either very annoying or very hard to resolve easilly. I am also not making any sort of choice here, mearly reiterating the previous stance on the position  Wink

Since all reward units now either belong to "Axis" or "Allies" they are now pretty much no more factional at all and it makes no sense to me to keep seperating them as "WM" or "PE" unit because they used to be categorized like that a long time ago.

I am going to jump in and say I told you so (not pointed directly at Nikomas) I argued on the dev team that making them cross factional was going to open up a can of worms and create a balance nightmare. I also said they should not be released until those bugs were fixed.

But as usual, in good old fashioned EiR:R style, we released broken shit with the adage "we can fix it later" only for it to be ignored or "too much work" to fix.

My grandfather used to say with great sarcasm: "There's never time to do it right, but you always find time to do it over"

If we want to reduce potential can of worms, we downsize instead of expanding. Removing shared abilities and buffs across factions like officer buffing teammates.

But when the same player owns leadership unit + unit, I'm having trouble seeing the principle behind it not working other than "it's OP".

Shab, I have PM'ed you about whats taking place in this thread.. Argue what Tank says about the topic, not who he is or your past conflict.
