IHT has it's weapons removed, and is there for the specific option of putting PE on wheels.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

On the surface, it seems like a nerf, and it is, but there is another side. Looking at factional win rates, PE was doing pretty poorly. The Meta seems to have shifted to very infantry heavy builds by the allies and PE seemed to be struggling the most despite the buffed IST, g43 suppression fire and the broken (now patched) hotch stuka.

One major reason we could come up with was that we saw some PE players putting 15-20 +ihts in their company, basically putting  in 1500-2000+ manpower of non combat, non capping units. Basically, on top of adding an extra cost to something that was probably too cheap, we are adding a layer of idiot-proof to ihts.

Overall, 10 fuel per iht should not be too hard to find.

I wouldn't mind the option to buy one.

Is there a reason the bren carrier is so ridiculously tough though?

One of the few relics left over from vCoH that never had a solid reason to change. Bren Carriers have always been fleeting in the meta until people started really clocking on to what they are capable of.

"tough"

In vCoH, an unupgraded Universal Carrier would get its ass handed to it.

Either the team in place around 2009 made some drastic changes to the Bren Carrier upon implementation (Or got patched in the interim) or that's some typical Volsky hyperbole.

Now admittedly, my memory from 7 years ago isn't all that, but I'm fairly sure that statistically the BC's haven't been changed all *that* much.

Most small arms have a 0.1 pen mod vs Universal Carrier armour and the bike MG specifically has 0.25 damage on top of that.

The idea of a healthy BC getting destroyed by a bike is... Extremely unlikely. The idea of any small-arm wielding unit at all destroying a healthy BC is also incredibly unlikely.

BC's and BC MMG's are such powerful tools because of this fact - You need to bring some kind of actual AT to get rid of them.

mmg frontal armor vs small arms is imperfect, but good!

In vCoH, the Bren Carrier would lose to a bike if it didn't have the MMG on it.

You can go test it by simply playing vCoH, rather than resorting to your usual "it's Volsky, so it's wrong" reply.
