I have 2 lvl9 us inf defensive companies (building another one as WH lol) and its my experience.
As a defensive player u must:
1. force an enemy to attack
2. force an enemy to attack into your traps
3. have aggressive partner (support him by mg\atg and build a healing\cover line behind him)
4. have a plan how u will counter arty, LV spam, caping ruch etc.
5. have same LOS advantage (bikes, bunkers, scouting etc) to react quickly.
Attacking in EiR is very easy (I love my rangers\flamers company, YEAH!!!). U can concentrate ultimate force on a small area, but as a defensive player u always must deal with concentrated attacking power by small amount of troops. Its very interesting for me.
