Actually in contrast to WoT it has a lot of unbalances in it. Rank 3 british fighters have rockets which pretty much one shot every plane, then again it sometimes takes ages to kill a guy some level higher than you while he shoots one burst and kills you instantly.

That's how it works.

You have a paper plane made out of light wood and cloth and light machinegun fighting a armored aircraft with a heavy machinegun. Who'd win? Most planes have their own design but then again even a low tier aircraft can take out a high tier aircraft. Positioning, luck.

Not luck, more a matter of aiming properly tbh. Airplanes have weak spots. It's free, there's no reason why you shouldn't try it if you're at least a little bit into flight games. And it's easy to play even without joysticks.

First of all I was having a raging experience while playing this game with a joystick. I switched over to easy-mode, o I mean mouse control and now tear things up. It sad to see the game treat joystick user like crap but that's how it is. This game is also about knowing what your aircraft, your enemies aircraft, positioning and energy management. There are a ton of real world flight mechanics in this game and once you play for a while you'll get the jist of it. Jets do kind of ruin the game though, they are very OP. With that said I did manage to shoot one down last night was an epic moment  Grin

Unless it's a game like IL2 Sturmovik a joystick is likely to be a worse controller than mouse+keyboard. The only real reasons you would ever prefer joystick over mouse is for either selfgratulatory satisfaction (it's the PROPER way to fly dammit!), because you need a joystick to constantly react to how different the aircraft drags in different conditions (like IL2) or because it's unpractical to use a mouse (like in a real aircraft).

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

Or you can use the heretical middle of the road option and use a controller, it works well enough to put me on the upper top of the scoreboard but it doesnt feel as wrong as a mouse and keyboard.

I'm frequently getting at the top of the scoreboard these days, with just a mouse. Just requires some tweaking with the sensitivity to make sure that you can get the most out of it,  some planes are just godawful to try and steer compared to others though. Take the BF109 for example, that plane is nothing short of amazing.

Granted getting critical damage on your plane after a few shots is frustrating when you're on the receiving end, it's fucking great when you're the one strafing in and causing all the grief. The only thing that irks me is how bombers seem to be made out of paper, there just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of armour to them, so once you get caught it's usually GG, which makes for very boring gameplay. Divebombers like the Stuka on the other hand I have found to be great fun, especially that later model, which has cannons equipped to it allowing you to effectively fend for yourself.

I urge everyone not to play muricans. the peashooters only way of getting a kill is running into other planes.

Wish there was less criticals on this game though it's no fun being a biplane with 2 wings and like 4x the chance of getting you're wings shot off.

The russian reserve planes are fucking amazing, I just went like 10 - 0 (KD) on them several times in a row. I'm lvl 7 as Germans now and it's getting really tough to earn the needed credits to automatically repair my planes, so I'm just branching out to the other factions now while I am waiting on free repairs. Still have to try americans and japanese though.

Muricans are decent i lied. the buffalo and the secondary t2 buffalo model are great. they must have superior engines because they can climb like beast.

Russian biplanes are really good 4 guns

Also that american lvl 4 bomber, the PBY (Cataline?) is ridiculous, it's like a fucking tank. The bombers I have tried, german ones, so far all sucked though, it's like they're made out of paper. And the british lower tier ones only have like 4 bombs...

Germans Bombers are not the greatest, though you probably got unlucky. British high tier bombers are the best. Japanese H6K is the toughest.

Russians get some good Fighter/Bomber payloads.

British Beaufighter is by far the most ridiculous aircraft in the game.

The most common things i get killed by are probably. Yak,spitfire,i-16.

I am really enjoying the T2 Murican buffalos, pretty tough with great fire power.

BTW jap planes get a free bomb attached they cannot launch. Cheesy

The beaufighter X is an absolute beast.

The British premium Mustang though is my all time favourite beast
