Your units will gain vet 1 for free, but to gain vet 2 and later vet 3 you have to pay for it.

Paying to get it won't be so bad as you don't have to pay to earn xp for it. Your unit will stop 1 xp shy of vetting up to 2 or 3. So when you buy the vet, your unit should vet in the next engagement its in. Unless, there is some freak event such as insta-gibbed, then your screwed...

Mgallun74 - It's 1 PP (Prestige Points) for Vet 2. Hard time reaching Vet 3 with not counting battles. But i guess it's another PP for Vet 3
