If you look at the tooltip at the bottom right of the screen shot, it says:
Commando PIAT Squad
Good vs. Infantry

I think it is because they have a good dmg against inf? (I am referring of course to the stats the sten gives)

If you shoot 4 Piats at an infantry squad there's a good chance they will gib a guy, which can be useful against elite inf such as KCH.  You don't want to lsoe your Piats fighting infantry though, just take a pot shot and back off.

4 pait sapper squads can take out KCH but its quite a loss on both sides

I think he ment the text saying "Good vs infantry" on PIAT commandos, which SHOULD be bad, against infantry and mistakenly has it in it, as someone said, propably stats from stens

probably a tool tip mix up because their still commandos and only two guys hold stens which really isn't enough to do much of anything
