And this is why I will mercilessly vet hunt any Airborne that think they can repeatedly fire-up and raid my armor without consequences. The world is a brighter and happier place when a vet 3 airborne squad is wiped out.   Grin

Because according to the leaderboards, there's hundreds of vet 3 gren/volks squads decimating the allied army.  Roll Eyes

You might try a machine gun, you know, those things what do the "suppression". Unlike our allied counterparts, we don't have a get-out-of-rape free button. But you are  probably too busy spamming vet 3 thompson rangers with allied officers to bother with that whole combined arms thing.  Roll Eyes

because a .30 will suppress a blob of assault grens before they kill the .30 =P you need a quad to deal with blobs of those.

Actually yes, if the .30 is set up, suppression is nearly instantaneous.

Usually if you move into range of a .30 cal, immediately notice that you are being fired upon, and then move out of range, you won't get suppressed.  Then again, it depends on what units you're talking about and what cover you walked into range with.

By comparison, an mg42 will usually suppress a riflesquad no matter how quickly they walk out of range.

An MG42 can just look at a rifle squad and they will either be suppressed or lose a man just about instantly.

I'm sure mg's are totally op and all, but I know from far too much experience, that I cannot get vis on a .30 with anything besides knights and avoid being suppressed. Volks and grens may try to escape but they can't get out of range before they're suppressed, it's simply too fast.

Mhm the Vickers HMG team has an ability that causes almost instant suppresion once its activated, maybe a few people confused a .30cal with the vickers+ability?

You could be right; I always thought the MG42 and .30 cal were distinguished by one inflicting mostly suppression and the other dealing mostly damage, but now I'm not sure which is which. I do remember that the Brit vickers is heavily suppressive with less damage.

its not the 30 cal you are thinking of, anything but pios can walk in and out at max range and not be suppressed.

You definately mix it up with the wickers .303 which instapins anything in 3 shots with the suppressive fire ability(needs to be removed, tbh Tongue).
