How to talk to somebody on the ventrilo?

Hi~I am a rookie in the EIR:R, and I have a problem about the ventrilo:after I join the EIR's server,I can see many channels like Battle 1,Battle2.....And there are names in the channel,then if I want to talk to one of them, what should I do? And if I want to talk to my teammates in the game, should I join the same channel as he does before the game is started? If not, what should I do?

P.S:I'm a little confused why there are no topics in this board...

You need to be registered by a dev on ventrilo before you can actually do anything on vent. You can be Private Chatted to by other community members until then, however.

As for your other question, yes, once you join a game, join the same channel as the other people in the game.  Then once the game is about to launch in COH, its customary to switch to allied or axis side depending.  However, like Myst said, you must wait to be registered.

right click him on vent -> user -> private chat...

I'm not sure unregistered users can use private chat unless someone pm's them first Leo.
