  I have no idea where the devs are planning to take the current reinforcements, but heres something i thought of while playing a DnD based game with multiclassing.

  When on rank 5 you choose your reinforcements and get your extra units as we used to, you would also gain access to the doctrine tree of that company type. From there that tree would act as a supporting or tie-in company for yours.

  You would still be limited to the same amount of doctrine choices across both doctrine trees. For example: out of the 10 T1's available for you if you have a secondary company you would get to choose the current 4. And the T4 may only be taken from the original company tree. Also, the second company's doctrines would cost more PP, say with a rate of: Original cost+5x(n)
               n= tier level
                That would make T1-30PP
                                        T2-60PP
                                         T3-90PP
  This would represent the fact that you are sort of using the units from another batallion to support yours. Somekind of limit to how many doctrines per tier in the secondary one might be chosen (like T1 3 ; T2/T3 1-2) might also be needed.

I think such a method for reinforcements might lead to some more interesting company builds and tactics.

Ofcourse, if this was to be taken forward you might need to start further balancing and changeing the doctrine trees. Doctrine choices per tier might also need to be changed, though i think the current amount should be fitting for this idea.

This is all theory and something i thought of the other day, but i thought id throw it out there.
Would be interesting to see the opinions of other people on this.
