Why would it be any different for one bren gun to fire into a tanks vision slits vs two? The guy is still going to close the vision slits so he doesn't die, thts what button is doing, firing at the driver so he doesn't know what's going on.

Actually Bob I think the damage output of the Bren is a great enough reason to for its high cost.  Brens do awesome damage.  The Button is just icing on the cake.  That's how I see it anyway Smiley

Leophone you got unlucky, plain and simple.  And don't act like stupid things only happen to you.  It happens to everyone.

and... i only had an mg and a mortar for support, mortar is great with tiger since it can kill atgs.

there was only that piat squad, that button squad with 1 man and an atg. atg i killed quick and then i drove over the hedges to stop piats using it.

then the one man button squad ran to me, that guy should have been dead ages ago but i tought it doenst matter since his button only takes like 2 secs.

it didnt, and ab could come to me and atg could land, also another bren squad showed up in the time of the other button.

Well, obviously the MG and mortar weren't good support for your tiger, especially in that situation.  If the bike shot the bren guy then your button would have canceled, giving you some time to get out, but you set up your MG right behind your tiger.  The MG would have blocked your pathing anyway.  There was basically a lone tiger and 2 mgs, 1 pak, and a mortar going up against 1 ATG, 1 sapper, 2 bren squads, and 2 AB.  MG micro could have been better.  The PIATs were already pinned so you could have flipped the MG to kill the Bren squad, which would have canceled the button.

Mostly bad luck and a little bit of lack of teamwork.  Yes I know it's frustrating when things like that happen but it happens to everyone.  Better luck next time Smiley

Actually, the Brens basic damage output is not all that impressive, but paired with a couple officers it can become a beast.

Do they really? i checked COH-stats and they had the same...but i guess coh stats and EIRR arn't the same are they? I'm not around my regular computer so i can't check the RGDs Sad

this still doesnt awnser my question why eirr changed the vcoh system:

in vcoh button wont take as long as normal when you lose men in your squad, in eirr you dont.

i dont see sense in this, since when you use assault with 1 man squad its less effective, etc.

 - Buttoning speed modifiers on British Infantry squads are dependent on squad size. Small squads apply fewer speed penalties, large squads apply full speed penalties to enemy targets.


there has been no release notes after this that said its gone again, but if it is, bring it back

Interesting. That only mentions speed penalties applied to the unit, not how long the effect lasts.

I wouldn't say it was broken, though. Its not that much of a huge deal and, really, there is probably very little difference between one guy firing his bren at a tanks vision slits and two guys doing it.

yes disposablehero, an increase of 200% in bullets is very little.

and lower speed penalties is the biggest deal there is, since you can drive out of the button much faster.
