I love EIR but I think I would enjoy it much more if I wasn't just focusing on the battle at hand. I'd like to focus about winning the whole war altogether. Please post some ideas if you have any about how the EIR war experience might be able to be enhanced.

Random ideas(mainly examples and not necessarily ideas I support):
1) Bonus units for winning a war
2) PP bonus for winning team following reset after war is over
3) more detailed war map to make game more competitive

I don't know what should be done, but I would like to get into the war more than I am now.

1). Something like this will be implemented, although not just reward units for a won war but they said something about units that will be unlocked at one stage in the war.

2) No. A reset should give everyone the chance to start anew. PP bonus will only give us a devils circle in which one side will always be the winner.

3) Planned aswell, has been mentioned over and over the last years ago Tongue Eirmod said that the current "Warmap" is only a little gimmick to keep us at bay, a real warmap will prolly come later on Wink

I don't speak for Eirmod on this though Tongue

i do think it'd be nice if we get at least one free ability. Personally, i think we should be able to start with a T4 since they offer the most variety and really nail down your company and then customize from there, going t1/t2/t3

or, you give us some starting pp to chose one t1 ability and at the same time, since we usually get 10 pp per battle, it kinda sux that everything is in fives and the advantages are in ten's. i think it'd be nice to have something uniform, so instead of 25/50/75/100 its just like the advantages and goes 20/40/60/80.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I have an idea for the warmap  Grin. I wasn't thinking about it much until I was playing Axis and Allies and realized "That's it! Just make it Axis and Allies." I'll try my best to explain the situation.
Take the map below for example....

The first scenario for my idea will involve the player being able to choose the territory he/she will fight for, and the second is that the devs simply decide the territories.
You split up the territories between axis and allied players (however the devs feel they should). At the start of the war, each player can choose a region they want to attack (a player can only attack a region adjacent to an already controlled territory). Each territory has a victory point value say 5. Each territory also has a number that represents the number of battles it will take to capture the region (I dont know how about 40). If the player wins enough battles, he/she can capture the region. If I click on France (and I am the only one who has clicked on it to attack), I must win 40 battles to capture that region. If me and smokaz click on france, then our victories must total 40 together to capture the region. If we lose a certain number of times (I dont know like whatever amount), we not only fail to capture the region, but we also lose a certain number of victory points for our team because we allocated resources for that battle and failed. We must choose another territory to attack at that point (and we can choose france again).
There could be a player limit to each territory, but I don't really care. The first team to hit a certain number of victory points wins the war. The point requirement could be high to make the war last longer.

Possible questions:
Q:What about the battles? Who chooses the map?
A: Either the maps are prechosen (boooo I don't like this idea) or the devs randomly assign them after a certain time period Cheesy.

Q: Is there a capital map?
A: I would like there to be yes and if the allies/axis push you to your capital and defeat you then you lose, but you might already lose due to VP.

Q: What if I have a smurf account?
A: Then choose a territory to attack on your smurf account. Who cares? this might help balancing anyways because then the better players will help both sides rather than overpowering one.

Q: Why do this?
A: 1) To establish when to reset the war, 2) To add more fun and competitiveness to the mod, 3) Why not?

Q: Which territories should start out as axis and allies? cuz Germany owned pretty much everything by 1944
A: I don't know just mix them up for the lulz I guess. You guys decide.

Q: Say I'm attacking from France and the axis capture my region...what happens?
A: If the enemy team captures the region you are attacking from, you must abort your mission, and attack a new region. You have been overwhelmed and cannot obviously stay in that territory.

If you have any questions about my idea, please ask me in vent so I can verbally explain it before you crush all of my dreams in the forum....I can only explain so much by typing.

This map will hopefully illustrate my idea. Please post ideas but promise that you'll hear me out if you disagree cuz I think I can explain it better in vent. Thanks.

Here is my idea for a Warmap, with some suggestions to make the modes different, make companies more 'persona' and the overall warmap more inviting.  This was inspired by this post and talking with 3rdCondor, so credit needs to be partially given to him for the basis of this proposal.

http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=532771

Now do note the warmap example I use is just something small I can create in a table and thus not reflect the actual warmap for EIR!  Also, sectors (which I will discuss later) wouldn't necessarily be 'just that map', but could be reflective of maps in that region.  For example the sector Carentan could be reflective of any 'urban' map to reflect environments in that sector, and all possible PP maps for that sector could be 'Carentan, St. Lambert, and Arnhem' as all counting for that sector, though my proposal/idea is focused on general flow of the overall war.  Please give me your thoughts, ideas for improvement, or things you may see as a problem.  I have tried to address what has been brought up to me or what I have thought up, and I think if we work together we can come up with a warmap idea everyone likes and wouldn't be 'stuck' to just the same map for a week, and could make for some interesting news items with symbols/counters of companies moving around week from week like a battlemap overview of the war progression from week 1 to the end!  Just my idea ^^
