its a T2 of the bottom free part for Royal engineers.
30 sec ability, 1 free use.
the extra sight it gives is handy for units that try to retreat in the FOW, but its only +5 so not rly much. also it gives +20% penetration. this is obviously useless for fireflys, so the only tank you can use it on is the cromwell (and churchil if you rly want that slow expensive thing instead of cheap stags)

i think an accuracy buff would be more suitable than penetration, or a combination of the two.

also its really unclear when the ability is active and when it ends (no symbol above tanks and the button for using it isnt going orange or counting down(at least with one use))

this ability is only useful for tanks, and half of the ability is useless for one of those.

i agree with leo on this. I think they increased the penetration to 30% but even than, as he pointed out, its a rather lackluster buff. I'd recommend a 20% increase to accuracy with the +5 sight. This should work well together considering long range accuracy values are the lowest and could use the buff. +5 sight hopefully means you'll be firing at your highest range as well.

i'd say as far as it goes its pretty bad.  The only time i could think of using it is when i have a firefly vs a jagd or KT where the +5 sight allows the firefly to see its max range without any other help and the penetration helps due to the firefly not always penetrating these tanks.

I'd say a rework of the ability is probably in order, i'm not saying fix it now but when all doctrines are implemented, this ability should be revisited and changed a lot.  An Accuracy bonus would make it cross over with Flanking Manauvers which is bad, i'm thinking a short reload bonus would make it very attractive, maybe 0.85 reload because 0.8 would be too deadly when stacking with command tanks.

good analysis spinn. I agree with you now that it shouldn't be +accuracy. a negative reload shoulds good.

neg reload sounds good too, but the ability is called experienced TARGETTING

american armour doctrine also has a reload decrease doctrine, so thats already there too 

but indeed reload- and accuracy buff both sound much better. the devs can choose which one lol, for once i dont know what to choose
